Hi everyone,
after just having upgraded from my N95 to a new N97 I was looking forward to enjoying my audible audio books on my new device. However, it appears that fifth edition devices are not yet supported by audible.com.
Does anyone know when this can be expected (some inside information?), or if there is any other (easy) way of enjoying my audible books on my brand-new Nokia?
Appreciate the help,
Frank
Sorry I can't help, but I second your query, as I am also unsure of how to get audible books to play on an N97.
The Audible Air app works fine dispite it saying it's for S60v3. I've used it on my N97 with no problem though it's a little clunky. The buttons work fine with the touch screen, but it doesn't seem to respond to the remote's input so you can only control it from the touch screen.
Great, thanks for your input. It is a pity it does not work with the remote unit, but at least we have something that works 😊
I had the same issue - got round it by using this program
http://www.wma-convert.com/
It does cost 20.00 but for me was well worth it.
It converts the Audible file to a simple MP3 file which you can transfer to the N97.
I load the files into a folder I made called " podcasts " this way it doesn,t show up in the music folder. When you want to listen just open the normal music player go to podcasts and it shows up.
Although its one long file the music player keeps track of were you are even after playing normal music.
