70 replies · 11,215 views · Started 09 March 2003

Works on my LG TV but I have to use the Phillips Settings.

I tried it on NEC and it doesnt work on any settings.

I tried on Sony, and it doesn't work at all.

LG is the only one that worked for me.
neither of my 2 tv seem to work with it 😞
psiloc just mailed to betatesters v0.21... and finally my SONY works!!!! onlu about 1 meter... but still it works !!!!! 😃

seen as though its been closed could anybody post the beta version up here because for some reason i never knew this software existed! and im really eager to try it out!!!

I have it too, and its working really beautifully.
Tested it on 2 Panasonic TVs and one Sony. All works.
And I seem to have a range on about 2m. Really nice. 😃
And that 2 metres is just what I need. 😃

Not yet have been able to try it on any VCR's.

And for that posting here requests-
This was in the mail from PsiLoc:
---
Please do not post this beta version to newsgroups, web sites etc.
---
So I or nobody else will post it here.
Patience. Its REALLY worth waiting for.

*wonders how patient Jyrik would be if he wasn't in the beta programme* 8)

OK my Sony one works now aswell, I have changed the settings for it. If I change the param of the "BITS" to 12 instead of 15 on the Sony (by left clicking and going to params and then keep clicking ok until "bits" shows and changing it to 12) and it works beautifully for more than 2 metres. Say about 4 metres at least.

For my LG my settings are normal Phillips, and has the same distance.

I tested on TEAC and it does'nt work on any settings. Do'H!

Ok I also did it on Sony VCRs and it works if I change the BITS to 12 while on Sony VCR option. (same as above)

Cheers 😃

Me too ...... :fadein:

Now looking at this, there used to be a thread where all the ideas about IR Remote was said to be impossible(it was pretty explained well too, worse, I believed it.).

That's great work from Psiloc to have it done.

Do u guys think it'll ever be possible to have a 'learning' IR program like those 'learning' IR Keychains which can record IR data?

can anyone send me the file of this TV IR remote control at adressremoved, thank in advance.

so do you think we WILL see the BT headset and more memory on the 7650 :-?

Let us join hands and pray that our memory will expand!!! 😃
how well it will perform on the 3650 with it's IR-Port on the side??
I tried it... and... well... it's not that good... and besides, 7650 IR seems to work better than 3650 IR, at least on my sony TV

Give it time, it's still beta. (is it the first week of trials??) There's a lot to do before it can do everything it should do.

I'm not on the beta test, but I've had a few run-ins inthe past with "universal" TV remote controls... so I'm going to wait until it's released and stable (no other option anyway 😊

HI! ...

Come on!!.. why somebody don't post the BETA VERSION? 😮

The BETA version... hey!.. somebody got it? ...

thanks!

😃

This may sound a bit ignorant, but what would be the purpose of such app besides replacing the standard TV remote? Can it control multiple devices at the same time (VCR/DVD/TV/Satellite)? User posted image

** Magic **

normaly you can change the mode like dvd, tv, sateliete.. etc.. (palm version)

first you must press the button on you remote.. your IR is listening en copy's the rate.. its like a perrot.. its realy good.. just imagen.. your in the store with 40 tv's.. just press your Nokia and ping everything on xxx tv 😊 lolz

ps: pls pm me or email me the beta version..

Because it's closed fgrom the public. If Psiloc wanted more users to be able to have it at the present time, the beta wouldn't be closed.

And no, I haven't got the program either.

I guess this might be the only reason to have this app. 😊 Otherwise, as Magic Marker observed right, for the same purpose exist much better remotes, i.e. OneForAll.
There is no way to replace OneForAll with Nokia 7650, when one need to control more than one device, e.g. TV, VCR, DVD, Digibox, Camcorder, etc., with the same remote.

yrann, I don't completely agree with you

I mean, this program is COOL because ADDS another functionality to our smartphones

this way, you have only ONE device that makes almost everything! I'd have to check with Lavazza if they plan to make a coffee-machine plugin, then it will be really complete 😃

you go out and buy your oneforall, but does it send sms and take pictures and make phone calls and play games and go on the internet, does it bollocks!! :P if your not interested in this app then why do you own a 7650

I'm all for expanding the use of the 7650 into new uncharted areas, but like faquick, I would much prefer a joint development with Lavazza (for the morning coffee) and/or Guinness (for the afternoon beer).

😃 😃 😃
