So it seem. First video app that I have used on 7650. Nice. 😃
But its so huge 😞 282kB
In my phone it takes 418kB in application manager!!! 😮
JyriK, I dont understand why your's 282Kb??
When I look at in handy file, there are no files to take 418kB.. something wrong with me..
By the way voice feature works perfect, but I dont like video capture capability..
anyway I like it.. 8)
The app manager shows the wrong size. (it includes all the languages)
Look in the Space Doubler. It shows the size correctly.

Yes, you are right..It takes 282kB..
By the way, why Nokia does'nt put this tool on to 7650 section. What a kind of marketing strategy is this.. We saw and it works with 7650. But they are targeting to 3650.. I am a great Nokia user since many many years, I always buy their top models, but now I dont like this action..
I am disappointment now :-? ..
Please, where can I see/download/buy Hantro 3.4?

Stacker (TV) shows it is 279KB while the Application Manager shows it is 418KB
When I want to compress the Nokia Video Recorder (a.k.a. Hantro 3.04), Stacker (TV) warned me that the application is embeddable and prompted if I want to continue compressing the hantro. Should I continue? :-?

I continued in compressing it using Stacker 3 (TV) and now the hantro 3.04 is 110Kb only 😉
The Nokia Video Recorder works well on my Nokia 7650. But how do I get this recorder to play .MP4 files created using other recorder programs for the Nokia. Help ?
Try finding the file in Seleq that you want to play, and press open, if that doesn't work then I dunno what will 😊

Use RealOne Player to view filetypes: 3gp, .mp4, .amr, .rm, .ram, .ra and .rv
Thank you for the prompt reply. I'll try using Real One. It is such a shame the Nokia Recorder does not recognise or play .mp4 files.

It's not a shame. Consider the .3gp video files as standard now because both 3650 built-in and this new Hantro 3.4 camcorder produces .3gp files. You can still play those "old" .mp4 videos on your PC.

i think that Video Recorder App.. use .mp4 ... not .3gp...
because HIPCAM don't recognize Video Recorder how a player for .3gp ...

And its Hantro 3.4 NOT 3.04 :-?
it will play the 3gp if it's in the right folder - but it's not recognised as a 'supported format' silly really as it's still hantro - suppose it's cause it was intended for the 3650 whose recognised player is the realone player so they stripped that feature out.
I can see AEFOX's confusion,
in the about box of the prog it says 3.4
in manager it shows as version 3.04
I believe its 3.04 coz I received a prompt "Replace 3.3 with 3.04?" while installing this Nokia Video Recorder on top of Hantro 3.3 😉

anyway.. now my best combi it's Video Recorder + Hipcam 😃
Video Recorder can play all the Hipcam files...
HIPCAM get better quality to see videos on the PC (using the Nokia Media Player)
You can record a nice 160 x 120 video with very good fluid motion setting Quality HI, Resolution BIG.
And if you want to see a large video on the Phone it works too ...
Video Recorder it's perfect to send Video by MMS.. the original sense of developers for this app.
But! HIP CAM it's good for more FUN , or to send more large videos by email attachment for example...
Anyway.. both apps are a good complement working eachother...
After all i have 1.3 meg free yet on my phone 😃

I downloaded and it works fine
The only problem I found is that it doesn't like Sdoubler compressing Videos directory. Phone hangs when saving video after capture and Directory is enabled for Sdoubler compression.
Anybody else find this?
I use QuickTime 4 to read mp4 on my PC but sounds is missing when i transform .3gp in .mp4. Any better player to recommend to play .3gp/.mp4 on PC?

hi guys great forum this is my first post so im sorry if this has been asked before but i have downloaded the new nokia video software and it works a treat and ive just downloaded realplayer but the problem is i can send a video to my pc but when i send it back to my phone it wont play it just get file format unknown , i was told that the realplayer would play it . Any help would be great thanks

Are you sending it via IR or BT to your 'inbox' ?
Unfortunatly it seems even with these progs installed the phone still does see .3gp as a known file type.. as it does on 3650..
AEFOX knows quite a bit about this so may be able to clarify.
You need to use nokia suite or PC Filemanager from Epochware and put the file directly int your 'video' folder - then open your application, either nokia or real and select the file to play it.

if i download the 3650 video software to my 7650 ver. 3.12, will it run? won't i have any problems using it?
if i don't want it anymore... cant i remove/delete the software on my phone?
and the player on my phone & my pc, where can i get/download it, nokia too? can i send it via bluetooth?
it there like a steps that i can follow, because i am really afraid to mess up my phone, i really saved for this 7650.
on the other hand..... what do you think is better, nokia 7650/3650/7250?

It should run without problems, but be carefull that you dont fill the memory as then the v3.12 bug will be a problem.
Why not upgrade to 4.39 or something :-?

The app plays the videos. And for PC get the player from the same site.

Just send it to phone via BT or IR and install.

A lot of Nokia 7650 users installed hantro 3.4 and I havent seen a reported problem (unless I missed)
if you want to remove it, you can remove it. menu>tools>manager>video or whatever application you want to remove.. simply press option and select remove
3650 is better than 7650 (Speaking for MYSELF). 7250? i dunno
