I've been using v8.65 with no problems on my N86. Will try v10.0b later. Those having problems probably have too much stuff being used by the phone's memory / RAM.
I had a feeling Opera neglected S60 for the touchscreen OSes, because v8.65 was released two years ago. It's nice to know S60 is still getting updates. :icon14:
😃 5800 People! have you got the latest firmware upgrade? a few months ago the lack of this was the problem....
I have no problem running Operamini on my memorycard, have you tried operamobile on this?
Have you tried youtube, dailymotion, animated graohics on this??? I dont see any mention of flash...
App keys are incorrectly mapped on the E90 when using the big screen.
No memory errors either, although it has to be said that the E90 is more than blessed in that department.
Still, quite nice to have the native app - and for free.
I cannot open any flash based sites like myvideo on my N86!!! Is there no flash Player integrated?
Anyone tried it on E90? Since the 8.65 version was a total failure for E90...
It works on the E90, albeit with the softkey labels transposed.

In addition to the no T9 issue,
If it wasn't for the lack of T9, I'd replace the S60 browser shorcut for Opera on my standby screen.

I get t9 on my n97 once I switch off in-line editing.
PREDICTIVE TEXT / T9...
As per comments above, you can *sort of* enable T9 / Predictive text.
But to do this, you need to go into settings, advanced, and Disable "In-line Editing".
HOWEVER, what this does though, is disable the ability to actually type in on screen comment or dialogue boxes.
Instead you get a System OS based Pop Up Menu/Box, that is a single line long to start with, but does expand as you type.
Not exactly User Friendly, not exactly intuitive, and certainly oh so very 2003.
Shame, as I like Opera 10, but this is a bit of a killer...
...And to add to this...
Not only is this messy and cumbersome, but for whatever reason, doing things this way, when you enter a full stop, and a space, then type the next word, the usual automatic capitalisation of the first letter, as would normally happen in predictive text mode, does not work.
So you are slowed right down by typing them manually, or you instead type as normal, and end up with none-capitalised grammar.
Poor in the extreme.
Such a let down, for an otherwise powerful and modern looking browser...
This works fine on my Omnia HD, get into T9 predictive input. It's an awesome browser for this phone to be honest and a beta as well 😃
Yes they need to fix that predictive text thing. If you type into a dialogue box you should be able to have predictive text if you wish. Full stop.
Thanks to bosambo for pointing out how to get around it but agree with Shadamehr, as usual, that this is not great.
Hi,
I am alex and I am using Nokia N95. I am newbie to this forum and Opera is really works fine with me. Opera new version is really good. I like it so much to use it. I do not have any memory problems at all. I think that you reinstall the software then try it. Symbian S60 OS is good for the mobile.
Has anybody tried it on an E90 yet?
If I have i8910, how do I use opera config to take advantage of its RAM?
Doesn't work on my N95 8GB NAM (RM-421). All I see is little boxes in place of all text. Even the Eula that you have to Accept or Decline just to load the program was just little boxes. Google.com and BBC.co.uk were also just little boxes. No letters at all. This is a NAM variant so it defaults to English and I'm in the US so it has nothing to do with the Asian language not working comment on the download page.

It works on my N86. I just tested it but not thoroughly. I'm liking it better than v8.65. It feels faster to me. I like how I can view the time without having to back to the OS's menu.

Certified for these devices: E51, E52, E55, E63, E66, E71, E75, N78, N79, N81, N82, N85, N86, N95 8GB, N96, N97, 5320, 5630, 5800, 6220c, 6720c, Samsung i7110, Samsung i550, Samsung Omnia HD, Samsung Innov8, Sony Ericsson Satio.
Edit: If you hold down on the D-pad, it pastes text.
I too have a N95 8gb with updated firmware and it looks like enough memory to handle the program. But all I get is boxes. Images load ok. Thinking I might stick with mini 4 for now
i m writing this comment from n5800 using opera mob 10. there is no error of "memory full" until i open powermp3 or open the new version of orkut thru opera mob 10.
i am using E71. I have installed Opera Mobile 10 Beta browser in my gadget. Below are the problem s i faced while using this browser.
1. Cann't able to enter special characters in Email Username and Password
2.Take too much of time to open a site compared to opera mini
3.got Memory Full message
4.Battery charges goesdown to three points with in 10 mins
I know E62 is not listed as a test platform for Opera Mobile 10 beta 2, but still volunteered my time to try it. No luck. Installed it on a separate memory chip (not the phone memory). Ran out of memory as soon as it started. I wish there was a way to take advantage of the 2GB additional memory chip I had added.
Opera Mini 5 beta 1 works fine. I am not able to download the latest beta of the Mini neither through the web site to a desktop, nor directly through the web site. In the E62 default browser it downloads the file 242KB and then just hangs and nothing happens.
Still work to do, Opera team.
I reinstalled mobile 10 beta 2 on my S60 nokia E71, and now in the advanced settings menu I no longer have the option to turn on the system edit. The inline mode has many problems, among them slowness, glitches, no hebrew support and no T9.
Thanks.
