I'm facing the following problem for several days...
When I sync the contact list of my 7650 with outlook XP, 99% of the data is ok. The 1% left consists of two problems:
1. my 7650 shows for example one cel. number within one contact; while outlook shows no numbers at all, but only displays one "_" behind for example Fax at work (see attachement)
followed by:
2. I change this "_" in outlook by the actual number: +XXXXXXXXXXX. Followd by a sync wiht my 7650, gives me within the upperstated contact in 7650: one time the number +XXXXXXXXXX and one time the number XXXXXXXX (both called for example Fax at work).
How can I sync 100%
I hope I have made myself clear and that somebody is able to help me.
BTW: I have win XP SP1 and Office XP SP2 en the sync is done by bluetooth[/img]
If you press the arrow on the left of one of the empty phone numbers and choose another number type from the list, I believe you will find the one that holds your original number. What happens is that Outlook displays 4 of the number fileds at one time, but none of the chosen one is yours! Try the others.. And when you enter it in outlook, you simply occupy a second field so u have 2 numbers!
Nevertheless, I found the synchronization with Outlook VERY buggy/problematic so I gave up eventually. It's been a few months and I do not remember the exact problems, one had to do with multiple numbers of the same type I believe: some of the many work phones of a contact were ignored and lost during synchronizartion! I simply gave up. I hope someone comes up with a better solution.
Petran,
Thank you for thinking, I've just checked it and only one gave something: the terrible "_".
And if I'm correct, the list you're talking about, should give a "V" near Fax at home when a number would be available.
Utrect,
It looks like Outlook does not a corresponding mapping for the contact you are trying to synchronise.
You may need to enter the contacts number into a different field on the 7650 (one that Outlook has - put it in Outlook first maybe), it is just a case of experimenting with the fields available. When you find one that works between the devices stick with it.
The problem is with PC suite and the mappings between the fields. Some fields you may just not be able to use on the phone when you want to synchronise.
Bob
Does anyone know if it's possible to use PC Suite to synchronize contacts with Outlook express?
I think not unfortunately

Thanks Bob, thought so, but not serious.
