ok so far ive read alot of threads in this fourum and cant really see any bad points! (which is good) i get my 3650 sometime this week!

so....can u please list in replies any significantly good or especially bad/annoying points about the 3650!

you might also want to state any software that is a MUST to have on the phone!????

Cheers guys n gals!

Jimmy

There are lots of good points about the 3650. It has a great camera, it has a memory card (which makes the phone much better than 7650) which can store a lot of pictures, applications, ringing tone, etc, unique design!

Bad points: Weird keypads (which you can get used to after a while), sometimes it gets weird like if i change the wallpaper, it says that the image size is too large even if i took it with the phone camera. But after you restart it, everything will be fine.

Anyway, there's no perfect phone out yet... but the 3650 is really a great one and i never regretted buying it!!! 😃

Bad points: less ram than 7650, second bigger symbian phone after 9210, bad keyboard (and also ugly but this is only my opinion). Good points: MMC SUPPORT up to 128mb right now, huge range of applications either commercial or freeware (most of the 7650 apps are compatible. If you don't mint the keyboard then think about the siemens sx1, it's better for me and also much smaller. Now good apps are space doubler or stacker, eprofiles pro and photographer. There are also some freeware apps that they are a must for your phone but i don't know about compatibility because they were first developed for the 7650 apps like doom, goboy from wildpalm and the 3gp video recorder from nokia (there be 2 versions one for 7650 and the other that is important for you, 3650,whatelse). I recomment you after you buy the phone to download trials and demos of the commercial programs to make a better decision of what you really need...

Good:
1. With MMC slot which allow users to store lots of applications and games, audios, images and videos
2. Captured image is better than my 7650 using the built-in camera,
3. xHTML browser
4. Help - new users can simply select help in the menu and search for a word that she/he needs to know in using the phone
5. New look - Expressive looking
6. Install the apps or games either in MMC or phones internal memory
7. Xpress-on cover - in case the cover has scratches
8. Light weight
9. Triband
10. Backing up the system files into the MMC

Bad:
1. No proxomity and light sensors
2. No slididing keypad or at least a cover to protect the camera lens

you might also want to state any software that is a MUST to have on the phone!????

Different users has different needs. For me.. I must have the following:
1. a File Manager to browse the drives
2. a Video recorder plus audio
3. a FTP application like YFTP to transfer my captured images and recorder video to my pages to quickly share it to my family and friends
4. a clock like World Clock to check the time in most cities 😉

The fact that the phone only has a mono output is enough of a bad point for me to consider another phone. Otherwise it would be perfect!!!

snide, i agree with you to an extent. i was 100% cert on the 3650 but having seen the 7250 with the FM Stereo radio (plus a host of other factors) i am very glad i've got the radio - i walk to work every day so it's perfect!

7250 may have FM Stereo Radio BUT you can't store any music/video files. i'd be willing to trade stereo for storage anyday.

I said that for 6 months as well! However, I'm now glad I got the radio and got less storage. I listen to so much different music and listening to the radio means I don't need to be transferring MP3s to my phone everyday.

it's always a personal decision and the views of others are based on their requirement and how the phones meets their needs.

i'd suggest to anyone looking for a phone to go into a shop, see the phones they are interested in, try them first to see which one suits u best. that's what i did and i was surprised with what i left with! surprised but very very happy.

i would actaully agree wiv tht last point lol, i dont hav the 3650 yet but planning 2 get it i tihnk its got one of the best featues out there generally, only thing i keep thinkin about is size!!

I'll repeat my self. Think about the siemens sx1 once again. It has a radio tuner(the only series 60 phone whith that spec, right now) so you will both your mp3s in stereo and listen to radio. If it only didn't have this silly key layout... But the same goes for the 3650(and not only that for me).

choose a phone that would meet your needs. 3650 may not be fine for others but i'm contented with it 😊 Anyway, i suggest also you go look in the shop the best phone that will suit your needs.

I have a 7650 and every time I will look at 3650 in Nokia site (when it is still coming soon).. I told myself that I will not buy 3650 because I like 7650s' design 😊 but I felt sad that 7650 has limits in memory. I thought of buying P800 but the price is too much 😞

A friend bought 3650 and she showed it to me. It feels cool to see how much "free memory she got though there are 20 applications installed"... I quickly get one 3650 for myself 😃 It feels good to install lots of applications without worrying on memory. No regrets in paying for this phone

I've installed 27 applications and only 2 are installed on the phones' internal memory (CamRec and Magic Mine). The other 25 applications are all installed in the MMC.

I'm fast now in using the circular keypad 😉

ST@RR.. I'm not only contented with 3650 😃 ... VERY satisfied

7250 is a fine phone... my brother has it.. we sometimes swap phones if he is around. My 7650 is still with me but I seldom use.

Daniat could you please write us which programs do you run on your MMC??
I will get my 3650 on Monday and i don't want to loose my time trying!!!
So , please post here which progs are you using???

Thanks in advance.....

I'm used to the circular keypads already 😊 It was so hard at first but i got used to it after awhile.

IRVING02: You don't like the picture quality of the 3650? Did you see the pictures posted in the forum? They were all better than the pictures taken with the 7650. 3650 pictures are even better than the P800. My boyfriend's phone is P800 and the picture quality is not that nice.

The circular keypads is not bothering me anymore. What's bothering me now is the size. The phone's too bulky and i can't put it in my pocket! I have to bring a bag to keep my phone. All my phones before were small (8310 and 7210) so it's really a big change for me! 😊

24. BugMe
25. ScreenTaker (This one worked but SeleQ screenshot does not work)
26. PaletteExtender (this one can be remove after enabling all colors but I prefer not)

Applications/Games that are installed in the phones memory:
1. Camrec
2. Magic Mine
3. Snapp (Snake game)

4 WAVs installed & 4 midis. Lots of images and 3 video clips.

The MMC that I have here is the free MMC from Nokia 16MB.
Total memory left (Free):
Phones Memory: 2366KB
MMC: 5252KB

I hope this helps you in some ways?

good:
1. intuitive interface
2. extensive features
3. MMC expansion
4. cool camera/camcorder function and very smooth videos

bad:
1. keypad (good only visually, but shd be ok once your learning curve peaks)
2. no timed profiles, auto keyguard, auto-delete calendar entries and graphic screensaver (all these are minor though)

i'll go still for 7650, coz the pics taken in 3650 is not that clear, unlike 7650 it's very clear, i rate it 7 over 10 for 3650. that' my opinion 😃

hmm... actually i don't have a 7650 😊 I haven't compared the two personally... I just thought the 3650 picture quality is better than the 7650 because everyone says so in the forum 😊 I've seen the pics also that they've posted. The 3650 shots were better :-?

Well, the MMC feature makes the 3650 superior than the 7650. 😃 I've heard my friends complain about the lack of memory the 7650 has and it hungs up when the memory gets full 😊

i have both of them and even if Nokia claims that the two phones have the same resolution, i still prefer the image capture by N7650 coz it's clearer compared to N3650. 8)

I have both also 😉
Viewing the image in 3650 seems not so good unlike in 7650.... but if I send the image from 3650 to 7650, it is pretty good (display).

If I send the images taken by 7650 and 3650 to PC... then compare them. Captured images by 3650 is clearer 8)
