proporta turbocharger and n8

Has anyone got the Proporta Turbocharger 5000 to work with N8?
I've tried both the output ports and a number of different USB-N8 charger cables, but either the N8 says charging then disconnects immediately or it appears to charge with the battery indicator moving, but doesn't actually take any charge.
Would be great to get these devices working together!

I have also tried a power chimp and the nokia DC-8 with similar unsatisfactory results - the DC - 8 did seem to work a little via the micro usb rather than 2mm outlet but did not charge for very long - certainly not until full.

I would also like to hear about a any reasonably portable (pocketsize)product which works fully with the N8

To get my Proporta to charge my wife's N86 properly, I have to turn the Proporta on first BEFORE plugging it into the phone.

Doing it the other way round doesn't seem to work for me.

Give that a try, see if it helps:icon14:
