I had to do a hard-reset on my N8 the other day and to my dismay the social widget has disappeared and I can not get it back.
All I want for my phone is an application that alerts me whenever I get a twitter or facebook notification and a widget that shows which one / what the notification is. Since my friend's blackberry does this out of the box (with customisable alerts and vibration settings), why cant the n8 as even with their crappy social software the interface is terrible at best.
Is there anyone that can suggest something or knows how to write software for symbian^3?
On a side note, ovi's widget store is limited to about 10 widgets each worse than the last. I would have expected at least 100 to chose from, not a handful of washed up rss feeds.
Not sure about a widget because I don't have a S^3 device to try, but Gravity does have notifications options to alert you to tweets etc.
Might seem a bit pricey in the Ovi Store, but believe me, it's worth it 😉
Ok so if anyone out there loses his social widget and wants to get it back after a hard reset go to
http://nmota.messaging.nokia.com/clients/Social_1_2_update.sisx
(h)(t)(t)(p)(😊(/)(/)nmota.messaging.nokia.com/clients/Social_1_2_update.sisx (in case it blocks my link.
and collect your shiny new widget.
Hope this info helps some other people that had the same problem as me.
