need help how to convert mp3 to wav then to mid. i have a program who can convert mp3 to wav but i found out that wav files have a huge size compare to mp3, is there a program that i can use? mp3 to wav to mid

The midi music is completely different to wav's or MP3's.
You can convert those to midi files, but the quality is always very very bad.
This has been discussed here previously, so try the search, as I cant
remember anymore the name or adress of the app for converting.

Why don't you try to encode the pcm wav files to gsm wav files. The compression ratio is about 1:5 compared to the standard pcm. You can also make a search in series 60 multimedia. A thread named "important: how to save some space..." or sth like that...

I just finished transfering a bunch of music to my 3650.
I just converted the MP3 to WAV and copied them using the Nokia PC Suite. The WAV files were around 40megs on the computer but the PC Suite converted them again (to whatever format) and they are only about 2.5megs when they finally get put on the phone.

Phew 2.5MB, That's about 1MB more than I have available on my 7650.

I'm afraid Mid files is the only realistic option for 7650

Well, i have 4 wave ringtones on my 7650 about 50 seconds total length. Only 200kb using gsm encoding!!!

I have 15 mid polyphonic ringtones, each 40 sec in length. It uses 110kb

Is the quality of wav files better. I've never tried it?
