Hi dudes,
I've got this Nokia 7650 which works fine until today when I used my earphone (standard type plug in on top - no bluetooth), and the pulled out the earphone, but the phone thinks it is still connected (you can see the little earphone icon on the display).
I tried powering off and resetting, but nothing seems to work.
Anything else I can try before having it serviced?
Cheers!
Never happend to me!
WHy don't you try to plug in the earphone (again) and maybe make a call or something, then take it out. See if that maybe helps. 😃
I tried this but no good.
Should I start opening it up, or would it be software?
(anyone know a site with manual how to open up this phone?)
I really don't like going to service centers....
hmm that happened just once to me, some time ago. I cannot recall why, but I think I rebooted, maybe with a change of profile before rebooting, then it went away, never to bother me again...
Play a bit with the profiles, check the Handsfree configuration in tools/settings, reboot...
Sounds like you've done most of that already, but if no joy, try ringing the NSC careline. You may find somebody there who can help you out (saves you going to a shop). At least it wasn't a serious problem...
Best of luck
Paul
Maybe there is sth metallic that makes contact. Try to clean it. If it is under warranty the nsc would be the best choice...

I wouldn't open it up, Especially if phone is still under warranty. It's difficult to reach the earphone plug, many things that needs to be removed first and what are you going to do when you get to the earphone plug?
Well,
I started opening it up and at the point I placed my Torx-6 to start screwing, I heard a beep,
and the problem was solved!
That's what I call "fingerspitzengefuhl"! - LOL
tnx anyway guyz.
