With brand setting van I use for my Cyberhome 302 DVD player?
What a great application.

Downloaded v0.91 and works perfectly. Tried it with a Goldstar HiFi, Sony HiFi, Panasonic TV, Toshiba TV, Goldstar TV , Samsung DVD/VCR, Panasonic VCR and JVC DVD. The only thing I haven't been able to get working is my Panasonic Satelite decoder, but I'm sure that will come with time.

I'm impressed with the range in most cases 3-5m.

Also It is only 65KB compressed with SDoubler. Brilliant!!!

Thanks Psiloc and Jyrik (Skins), Another must have application, that many thought could not be done on a 7650.

the download trial link on psiloc website doesnt work for me! i click it and get:

TRIBAL - errorbrakuje pliku irRemote.sis z dzialu pliki

what the hell is this? i want to try the prog! 😞

Yep, it's not working... Strange earlier today it woked.

Not that impressed!

Works occasionally with Philips widescreen TV (2 yrs old), works at a very funny angle on Sony portable TV (6 yrs old), doesn't work at all on Sharp VCR (1 yr old)

I won't be buying it!

I have Finlux TV but ir doesnt support thid device. I try with Nokia TV, Sony TV but not work.

I'm not sure that do I remember right now, but isn't finlux have same ir-systems as Grundig... So try it, it won't kill you. 😃
3-5m?? That is good range for a telephone that was supposed to have less than a 2m range
All devices where definately more than 2m, But then again any suggestions about this type of application two months ago was scoffed at.
Version 0.93 available from psiloc
One word of advice. Uninstall current version first before installing v0.93

Installer does not uninstall current version first and you end up with 2 versions in app man and phone. that is for the english version, not sure about international version

Anybody else find this?

I think they changed the trial version to a demo whick only allows a certain amount of keypresses before you have to restart IRRemote. This is for version 0.93. I've registered and it works fine.

In order to avoid the "doesn't work on my TV" issue, maybe a custom dialog box in the app, where the ID of the remote can be keyed in, just like what you have to do if you buy one of those universal remote controls.

Sounds reasonable, is it practical? It would increase PsiNT's potential market...

I think the big problem they have is that remotes for similar brand TVs are different between Europe and US. That means a duplication of all brands.

It would be nice to delete some of the brands that are not available locally to save space on the 7650

Something like that is coming in some next version.

That's what I Like about Psiloc. As you think of improvements they are one step ahead

Am I missing the obvious; I cannot find a profile to control the Sky Digibox... or is this a "next version" feature?

I am annoyed at this too. I saw version 0.93 and it said support for UK Digital Sat and Cable. Well since there is only 1 UK Sat providor in the UK (Sky) and all the Sky boxes run of the same remote, i thought yes, its gonna work! Then UK Digital Sat/Cable does not operate my box!! :x

Such an amazing app was always bound to have teething problems. I'll buy it, but not just yet, sounds as if it's a long way off being fullproof and working on every device.

I think we all need to give psiloc a break and let them improve on what is already a great app, considering people laughed at the idea only a while ago.

In the meantime, just use your normal remote!
Does anyone else get the feeling that the only reason they want this app is to be able to sneakily change the channel on the TV in the pub, without leaving their pint? I know thats my main reason. 😃

Yep it's going to be a good one. we're just all so impatient...

that said, Psiloc have just released 0.94b. we may be impatient, but they are moving very fast :P

The Psiloc website says it's an important upgrade, but I can't find information about what's changed - anyone know?

I heard that the 0.93 installation converted the other registered Psiloc apps on your phone to trial versions (I'm on 0.91 since it does 95% of what i need it to do - I do my best not to be at the bleeding edge...), so the latest one may rectify that.

Anybody noticed anything?

It seems version 0.94 fixes this registration problem. I can't see any other changes so far
