Battery Life?

This thread included a poll: How long does your Battery last

I have to say that I make a very intensive use of the phone and I always charge it when I go to bed so I don't know exeactly what the battery life is like. I think that using the 7650 as a "phone" could extend the life to 3 or 4 days.

I guess so, but very few buy it to use only as a phone

If I'm using the "default" LOL battery that came with Nokia 7650 - it last for a day only

If I'm using the 1200mAh it last 5 days

my battery used to last a day and a half sometimes less than a day.but after upgrading to version 4.36 the phone's stock battery started lasting 2-3 maybe 4 days.

Phew you lucky. I have v4.39 and max battery lasts is 1-2 days. Sometimes less, but I must admit that I murder the phone. I carry a spare battery around with me.

Any problrms with 3rd party 1200mA battery?

Anyone know anywhere where you can get these 1200 batteries. Been looking high and low.
Almost an essential purchase i think the long-life batts. My battery will last two days max (moderate use) or a day (heavy use). Not the 7650's most impressive feature. 😞

im just charging mine for the first time now. the guy in store said "16 hours" but the manual suggests 4... is that cool? i've turned on the phone twice to play around quickly , but i haven't done anything taxing. i really wanna play with the damn thing, i HATE leaving things on charge, but i dont wanna mess up my battery.

how much are teh 1200ma batteries? im guessing they're not cheap? 😞

No problem using it. It is only thicker than the Nokia battery but it fits.

I also found and bought another 3rd party battery. It is 1250mAh

Both are made in japan

I bought it in local shop. Its 3.6V. I'm not sure if there is the same on the net. I have not search for it on the net.

I've asked around here in South Africa, but none available. I will appreciate a link to a website from anyone.

Thanks for the votes so far. After 30 votes 56 % says 1-2 days. This has confirmed my belief that this is the average battery life with regular usage

that 1250mah battery doesn't look anything like the blb2 which comes as standard.

@daniatt, is it a Nokia battery? what's the product code / barcode?

sorry to be so distrustful, it's not a photoshop hoax is it?? 😮

It is a Nokia battery pack as you can see at the label. It is actually for Nokia 8210/8250/8310/8850 but the vendor told me that it will work for 7650 that is why I purchased it. It is thicker a bit but it fits.
How to read barcode without a barcode reader? all is see is lines LOL.. that is the barcode.
At the back of the battery, it is written Made in Japan with Cautions in english and other languages.

It is not a hoax. I wont waste time in uploading a fake image. That image is taken using phototographer software. I did not edit it.. I only rename the image after capturing.

Am I the only one who has this type of battery? 😉 I'm lucky

thanks for the info Daniatt - the only official battery round here is a 750mah one, but it has a battery product code (blb-2), and a barcode (with numbers underneath it!), I was looking for a way of searching for the exact same battery you have, or working out who the manufacturer was. 😃

Paul

I got the 1000mah battery aka the superman battery.... lasted me 3-4 days of usage.

It's not from Nokia Acson. Make in Singapore

Thanks Daniatt. I'll go check tomorrow and see if they have the 8series battery at 1250mA in South Africa

Now that you mention it. When I bought my 7650 the man at the store was showing me the phone (I already know everything 😃 ) and when I saw that the battery was the same as my 8310 I told him to shout up 😊 and I walked out the store with the 7650 already ON and the new battery in the 8310. If I still remember I think I still use that battery instead of the new one (I think they're exactly the same).

😮 WTF.... 1250mah battery!!!!

Good news, The 1250mAh battery is available in South Africa. The shop didn't have stock, but I've ordered one. Will let you know when I get it. Thanks Daniatt

Isn't there a way to reduce the backlight of the display? This could save a lot of battery.

XRS.

I got the battery today and it's 1200mah, Still better than the 750mah. I'll charge it and see if it is an improvement. The battery is an AIKON battery. Anybody else with any experience of it?
