Two days ago I received my new SE carry case (IBK-20) It is very nice looking, sporting the ever bright SE 'green eye'. However, I already find that I am reverting more to the case I bought and modified when I first received my phone. It is a case made of black nylon and each end has neoprene in light grey. It's weight is nothing and while it does require mounting on a belt it is most convenient. All I had to modify was the velcro strip on the front of the case had to be lowered 20mm to obtain a snug fit.

I am saving up for a Piel Frama case though, i may even buy it b4 the p800 goes out of fashion.
I don't like putting the phone outside of my pocket so I can't put it in any cases else it won't slip it smoothly. Its not a small phone really.. 😛
I prefer the IBK-20 myself.
I've been using it for a week now and it has been perfect for my needs.
It clips snuggly on my belt and the flap has a unique magnetic latch instead of velcro or a snap. And since it's made of rather thick leather, it gives the phone very good protection if I bump it against something or, worse case, drop it.
I also like the pocket inside the case. I can now easily carry an extra stylus with me.
That is a nice case, but $40 is too much. I know it comes with other stuff, but as they are not needed the option to have been able to buy the case on its own would have been preferrable.

I noticed a hole at the bottom, is that for a provision for the headset? 😊

Yes it is for a headset. There is a hole on one side of the case as well for an accessory or charger to be hooked up.

I already a man with a big bunch of stuff in between my leg. 😃 So, got myself a Nokia waist porch that's my P800 fits nicely in.
I'd never used a case with any of the last ~10 phones I've had, but I do now. The principal reason is that I want to protect the phone from dust.
I have had three Ericsson/SE phones. The first got so much dust behind the screen that I could barely read it. I returned my T68i under warranty for the same problem (not quite as bad) and my P800 already has some dust behind the screen.
This never happened (to an appreciable extent) with any of the 7 Nokia phones I've had.
Have others had this problem. Three out of three can't be a coincidence.
I've only had my P800 a few days, so far the problem is surface dust in the corners and down the sides of the screen, very hard to get rid of. My 7650 I've had about 2 months, 2nd one, and that has noticeable dust gathered under the screen already. Very annoying. I find even using a case/pouch doesn't help, as dust gathers in there and gets onto the screen anyhow.
