Yep, there is a lot of competition for not a lot of storage space... Not being a techie, if in the next version those files could be compiled within the app, Spacedoubler/Stacker would be able to compress and uncompress them as needed. My rule of thumb is that an unused (ie compressed) app should occupy max 80-100kb...

That's a great idea. All 7650 users are memory concious, so the app, although smaller than hantro, is still big, even without the videos taking up space.
If you could reduce the size without reducing the overall quality of the app it would be a major step forward. 😃
What about volume adjustment during playback (a la hantro)?
What about frame by frame 'slowdown' playback option? or am pushing my luck? 😊

Overall, though i must say i'm impressed. It has huge potential. Any ideas how much the final version (Pro) is gonna cost?

Well Installed and amazed - Brilliant stuff

Liverpool Lad - I think the memory size in application manager is lying again

I Cheked my Freespace using fexplorer then installed hipcam and Nokia Video total of 535k given for these apps uncompressed.... Then removed them and put on this luvly app and it takes a total of 286k uncompressed - so its doing a hell of a lot better I think - need to recheck at home as I now dont have the apps to hand to retest as a control.

hmm. peolpe always talk about the good quality. i have tested hantro and the camcorder, and, in my opinion, the quality of hantro is much better and the filesize is smaller.. even with the quality set to high, its nearly the same as hantro in normal, but the file is nearly 3x bigger..

and the audio of camcorder is on my phone really bad.
even if someone is in front of my phone, with the microphone set to maximum, i nearly can hear him in the video 😞

and, like liverpool said, hantro can be compressed to about 100k, the camcorder stay (app and the dll file) about 220 kb..

not bad for a beta though, tias 8)

yep, thats right.. hope the quality gets better...

but... you will have to get a player to view the videos on your pc, the size of the app is really big and not compressable..

what i really like it the my-video-app.. that looks really great!!

hope he fixes the problem, cause this looks like a really good app..
