basically....i have had my 7650 for about 6 months, and have done nothing special at all with it. only recently i have discovered this whole new world, and love my phone again (only cause it now takes video).

I would love to start improving my 7650. this website is very usefull, but im too lazy to spend a lot of time sifting through, maybe someone knows if there is a "guide" on the web as to what applications are the most usefull/stable etc. basically, a list of "this is best, get this".

any advice, or help would be greatly appreciated. thanks

Luke

Hey Luke,

There's a lot of apps out there that are all freeware, you can find them in the sotware catalogue part of this site. A good place to start would be FileExplorer by Domi (essential applaiction), other freeware is mostly crap or games. Nameswap is useful and Bemused is pretty impressive. The Nokia site has a few games to download Bounce, Triplepop and Space Impact although they all take up a fair amount of space. Sounds like you've already found the Video app! 😃

You'll soon be worried about the lack of space on your 7650, so a compression tool is almost essential (not freeware tho, but reasonably priced nonetheless). sDoubler or Stacker being your best bets (i prefer sDoubler, put its personal opinion). Also you should buy sytem tools from psiloc. Any software that not freeware try out first, using the demos, if you like it, buy it! 😊

Other apps i'm running...Worldclock, Screensaver, Cocktail, pCounter (fw), pExtender (fw), Lookup (fw), Binary Clock (fw), sLauncher, Oplayer (fw), screentaker (fw)

Hope this helps! 8)

Welcome Luke

You'll find a lot of threads on "must-have"apps, it really depends what you're after.

Lee's done a good summary there, but if you're into email & internet browsing, look at emailviewer & webviewer by www.reqwireless.com.

Also check out eprofilespro from Psiloc (for that matter all their software is excellent)

Luke, i used to hav a N7650 too(until i met the P800). and i too found it quite tiresome to search for worthwile apps....but you can check some out at epocware.com & psion...................... u should try bounce... amazing game by NOKIA.

So, hi everybody. I'm new to this forum as well. I have had my 7650 for 6 months now and I like it. The question is - where I can find this download thread/page you're talking about (freeware software)? Please, help me since it is a bit time-consuming to read all these pages and posts. Thnx! 😃
