Ok just for shits and giggles my 3650 today decided it would stop entering text into menus and messages. Only numerical, and the pencil or ABC key no longer pulls up a menu for Numerical entry or any entry, it just beeps. Any ideas anyone? The genuises at TMOBILE wanna send me a brand new phone! Yeah that solves everything but I dont wanna wait 2 weeks to get it! :robot:

What other software do you have on the phone - anything which played around with text entry? Try uninstalling any such software.

I've had the same problem of lack of text and ABC key today. Installed f explorer and removed all recent applications but still no joy. Apart from a sledgehammer, does antone have any more suggestions?! 😮

Just figured I'd contribute this tip for the original problem.
My mate's 3650 did this very thing and he had not installed anything mentioned (Mildskinz and stuff like that). After trying just about every trick in the book (except the three inch benchmark test), I deleted loads of Temp looking files and (I think this was the clincher) his System.ini file 😮
Yes, I know it soundsstupid and anybody who's ever worked with Windows will know you just don't delete files like System.ini, but it worked. There was no lasting harm done to his settings (if any at all) and the Text/Number button has worked fine ever since.
yeah, if the guest just searched, this question has already been answered so many times. Guess he didn''t bother doing that though
