BATTERY INDICATOR BUG

I have some bug,i'll explain:I fully charged my N3650,after one day the phone said that the battery is low(BUT i havent used phone a lot),and i saw that there is only one line of battery charging indicator, but after some time(approx 2 hours)i saw that the battery is fuly charged(THERE WERE ALL LINES)HAVE SOMEONE EXPIRIENCED SUCH BUG  AND HOW LONG DOES your battery live

I've seen myself turning the phone off at night with Full battery reading, then switching it on in the morning, and loosing two battery life indicators?.. weird no?

With me, it may be full battery life one minute, then only 1 bar and "Battery low" the next! :-?

Although I do use Frodo a lot, which makes the battery get rather warm.

If you leave the bluetooth conection on all the time it will suck the life out of the battery like there is no tomorrow. 😞

BUT i dont use Bluetooth and frodo emulator, and battery lives only for a 1day,. :-? ,when i bought my 3650 it lived up to 3days :P ,but not now.

J-F,did you properly condition your battery when you got it? Charging for at least 15 hours, runnit all the way empty, charging again for at least 15 hours, running it down again to empty and repeating a third time? If yes, then you should try to charge it as long as you can each time you charge it and run it down to as close to empty as possible before you recharge it. This will make the battery last much longer between each charge. Every phone battery though will start to lose capacity after awhile. The 7650 has some problems with not charging even though it is plugged in. With the 7650 you have to make sure it is charging when you plug it into the charger. Sometimes you have to turn it on and off again, and then plug it back into the charger.

yea, pet,i did it when bought the phone, although thanks. Now i'll charge my phone fully,as you said.( up to 5hours)

I thought you were going to the beach this week? Where are the pictures of beautiful sunbathing Russian girls you promised?

Li-ion battery doesn't need 15 hour of charging, of course you can do it if you want. Only Ni-mh battery needs 15-16 hour of charging.

The Li-ion batteries do not require conditioning and the 3650 comes with such a batter standard. Neither do they develop memory linke NiMH or NiCad batteries. They will however wear out with age and that is normal. However the life cycle of the phone (i.e. before you replace it with a newer model is usually much longer then the life span of the Li-ion battery.

About Russian babes in bikinis you will get some pics once the weather will get better. It's a really cold summer here this year (18-20C) and the beaches are empty. Weatherman says it will be a hot and steamy July so probably in about 2 weeks I will start hitting the beaches myself.

hm...well,for mi is kinda strange...i only have to charge it for like 1hr and its fully charged!but sometimes its doesn't even last me a day???the worse case is charging it to full when i go out and it just switches off due to low batt after 2,3hrs of usage!!!i use slauncher and was playing goboy roms...does it make such a large difference? :-?

Hi there!

I also encountered the same problem. It seems the phone inaccurately shows the amount of power the battery holds. I had 1 bar left and when I tried restarting the phone, it became 3 bars. Odd but I still like the phone.

Wish it was repaired. I missed it alot guys...

:agrue: :agrue: :agrue: :agrue: 😃 😉 😃 😃 Keep it going J-F 😊 😮 :bday: :black: :agrue: :agrue: :agrue:

Hi Jimmy! Ignore that other person. =)

There is also another way to prevent this from happening.

Discharge the battery fully until the phone does not turn on. Then recharge the battery.

This will allow the phone to correctly determine the amount of battery charge.

Kirill also has a good point there.

THANKS mekeni 2000,kirill,peter,and others,i've tried that, and now it is all OK,the battery lives up to 2-3 days..,thanks.

Hey guys is it my imagination or is using smart launcher (the latest registered version) draining my battery faster than if smart launcher was off?

What I do is I leave till it fully drains the battery before charging the unit while the unit is turned off and still the same bug, And main of it all I don't just hid smartlauncher I exit it after using it but still my battery only stays up for a whole day.

what's very odd is I just charged it then talked on my phone for 56mins but still the battery is full very odd??? and lasted till next day full 24hours still

I unistalled MGS game station and GAME boy emulator, and now battery lives up to 2-3days,,also charge your phone approx.4-5 hours.

4-5 hours what difference does it make if I just wait till the phone detects that the battery is already full? Why would the emulators cause a big battery drain I seldom use MGS, does it have any background service running even when not in use like a TSR or service.

Hello guys!

You all have great points there. =)

The memory card may also be one factor. It also uses battery power once you accessed it.

Another thing is, there are Nokia 3650 units that came with slow charger and some with fast chargers.

Mine is a china version(blue housing) and has a fast charger. Fast chargers usually have a higher current than slow chargers. This eventually forces the battery to charge much faster but the tendency is that the battery cannot immediately accommodate the charge.

Slow chargers are good because they don't force the battery to "fill-up" immediately.

Actually there are also things that are called trickle chargers. They charge the battery up to 95% or so quickly and then slowly charge the rest. This way it surely gets a FULL charge and rather quickly. Don't think any phones, save for the 88 and 89 series that came with those.

Thank you Kirill! Wow, we are all learning all of this. Thanks again for that information. :fadein:

Cool!
