I unistalled MGS game station and GAME boy emulator, and now battery lives up to 2-3days,,also charge your phone approx.4-5 hours.
4-5 hours what difference does it make if I just wait till the phone detects that the battery is already full? Why would the emulators cause a big battery drain I seldom use MGS, does it have any background service running even when not in use like a TSR or service.
BUT such info i have heard from other people, they said exactly that GAMEboy emulator and others, eat memory.... :-? yea it was very surprising to me...i also think that ONLY GPRS,BLUETOOTH,IRDA,eat battery.

When my battery reaches 2 bars, I turn on the bluetooth so my battery can be drained faster. Batteries are unpredictable.

My battery is drained a lot quicker when using Goboy or Frodo. I think it's cos the backlight is on for the whole time. I've also noticed that when either of the emulators are running for more than 10 minutes, the battery gets very hot.

Yes Jimmy, are you referring to the battery or memory?

Also a follow up...

Damn! My phone has been fixed by the Nokia Service Center here in my country.

Wow!!! I will get it after 1 week. They made a reformat and upgraded it. I do not know the details but I hope it will stay fixed. =)

It's mostly due to the processor running at full speed. when your phone is on standby, the processor power used is very small, but the emulator require most (If not all) of the processor's power to run smoothly. If you're playing Unreal tournament 2003 for a couple of hours in a row, you'll notice your computer's box getting warmer, as your processor and your graphics board have to work so hard.
Fast chargers usually have a higher current than slow chargers. This eventually forces the battery to charge much faster but the tendency is that the battery cannot immediately accommodate the charge.

Slow chargers are good because they don't force the battery to "fill-up" immediately.

i think,your battery is bad,try another one.
The phone's barely 3 months old! Think I should bring back to the service centre.

Hi,

I think we all here know that our batterys are not renowned for lasting power. Any demand placed on the phone and battery will use its resources, one of which is memory(refered to once) and the other is the battery used to run everything else.

J2K hit the nail on the head and so did Tatuagem, any functions performed by the phones processor is going to require power and these games emulators have to work quite hard I'm sure. Hence why there has been a run of newer, larger capacity batterys for use in our phones.
The voltage stays the same so as not to cause harm, but it's the amp-hours that changes to give a longer discharge time.

When we first buy the phones the manufacturers always suggest charging fully for a solid 14+ hours initially. Then within the first 3 - 4 charging cycles (charge/discharge etc), the battery should reach it's peak and maintain power for longer. However I have found that these lithion Ion packs seem to deteriorate quite quickly and don't have a very long life.
I don't feel this is your problem, more that it is the demand and the usage which is killing power quickly. It could also be a naff friday-afternoon-special pack which is faulty.
Try what has been suggested, Nokia are not unreasonable and may in all probability change your battery for a new one to keep a customer happy.

Let us know what you do, Ian
