Bloody rubbish!!!!

:x I have had this phone for about a month and am now trading it in for a Samsung T100. The phone has a half decent camera built in but the video recorder is pointless. 15s of video is rubbish, even if I do get sound now through the Nokia site and supplying PC Suite with a phone that DOESNT support it is ridiculous. I am also having trouble with the phone... it seems to have developed lag. I thought it was because I had saved so many messages and apps but having deleted all of them and gone back to the bare bones of the phone, it is still occuring. It feels flimsy and am afraid I might accidently place it down to hard and shatter the whole thing into fragments one day and as a last whinge....what the hell is that keypad all about? the keys are so awkward and non-standard that its nigh-on impossible to type a quick text message! I ordered this phone direct from O2 for those that are wondering why i bought it in the first place and will be glad to see the back of it!!!!!!

Half decent camera? 15 secs of video?
Well how many pictures and video will you be taking with a T100?

3650 has currently the BEST cam of all phones!
15 secs of video - thats a restriction of the networks and MMS that Nokia are adhearing too, not the phone, there are plenty of other camera applictions you can get which lets you take longer video clips.

What about all the other symbian apps you can put on your smartphone - you cant do that on a T100?

Also, baware - the T100 may be colour BUT wap surfing is still black and white.

T100 is a nice phone if all you want to do it make calls but I think your missing the point of a smartphone.. which a T100 is NOT.

PcSuite - why is it not compatable with the phone?
I use it without problem?

Sure - your entitled to your opinion but I don't think venting your anger here will sway anbody - we all love our phones!!

😊

Sorry to see you go..

photo quality is good for a PHONE!

PC Suite works fine not had any problems.

Did you look at the keyboard before you bought the phone? yeah its diffirent but after awhile you get used to it.

Okay Stan so you don't like the phone, that much is very clear, but as for your reasons . . . :x

The 3650 has THE best camera on any current non-g3 phone, yes that includes the P800. If you don't think so, then you obviously haven't tried any of the others, I have and they suck!

10 to 15 seconds of video is MORE than enough for a single shot, they are called 'rushes' in the movie industry and in most movies especially action movies a 'rush' doesn't general last more than about 10 seconds.

I dropped my 3650 about 15 times in the last 3 months and I have just one very small mark on the 'removable' case. It is a very robust design.

I could go on for hours about all the things this phone does better then any other phone I've used, but quite simply the 3650 in a truly awesome phone, I shot an entire 5 minute movie on mine the other day for the kids (made up of 27 different shots). We then edited in on my Mac and burn't it burn on a VideoCD. All this from a phone!!! The kids loved it.

Oh well, enjoy your new phone. 😉

A five minute movie 😊
Thats good going!

If the guy does not like the phone - fair enough - but to say it's crap and to replace it with a T100 ???????

Boggles my mind 😊

Will.

hey u know what.... i was using the T100 before this and i changed to 3650 and i feel like im in heaven...

u guys know how suffering i was when i was using t100? lol.. the Samsung OS sux.... so many things that i cannot do(compared to other normal phones)

and now im using 3650.... i don think there are any other phones now that attracts me... this is because i get to take pictures with my phone(which t100 cannot) .. and i get to shoot videos(i use camrec.. so i can shoot vids longer than 15 seconds)... and i have so many games in my 3650 now compared to only 3(mypet, some shooting game which moves very very slowly and another game which sux) on the T100... well.. i have a lot more to tell.. but then i think ill just stop here.. 😊

cya

Someone please lock this topic now before we get into another discussion on personal preference.

Well we all know what to do when we see Guest posts talking with such ignorance...
IGNORE THEM.

But I don't have anything to do and said let's play a little.

So mr stan_da_man if the Camera of 3650 is half decent what do you think the t100 camera will be? A quarter decent (3650: 0,3Mpixels t100: 0,1Mpixels)

And ok the video rercorder is pointless, so you sell the phone because it has sth you don't need? (by the way have you tried the ETI camcorder or hipcam?no TIME limit)

Ok the keypad is not good but not so bad... (After all haven't you noticed the key layout when you bought it?)

But I am sure that you'll regret it when one of your friends will have full movies, or record unlimited video, or play wave ringtones, or play with your tv/dvd/hifi, or remote control his computer or,or,or....with just his symbian phone...

UNLESS YOUR FRIENDS ARE SO IGNORANT AS YOU

Hehe. Well put MemphisX 😃

Funny thing for the guy to post like that here.. Maybe he had a bad day and had to let it out on someone 😉

Well. As for the rest of us here. I guess we like our symbian based phones and enjoy this great forum 😊

Christ, you guys are all a bit sad, arent you. I was giving my honest opinion about a phone that I am unhappy with and you all jump down my throat like little school children. (as for the guy that said about the camera being rubbish on the T100...do your homework before having a go...what camera?)

Like I said before (if you'd bother to read what I'd typed all the way through before seeing red mist), I ordered the phone from o2 online so the first time I saw the phone was when it arrived on my doorstep. The camera was fine for about a week until I started to download apps onto it, then it ran as quick as an old Spectrum ( I suppose now I have offended Spectrum lovers too). I deleted all of the apps and it STILL runs at the same pace. I have even typed in the reset code and gone back to default settings and its still slow.

Please read what people type and listen to constructive critisism. Its not the best phone in the world (Orange agree with me), there is a little thing called "other peoples opinion" and, hey, put your phones down, do your flys up and step outside into the real world where stuff like this, if ya kinda think about it, DOESNT REALLY MATTER!!!! 😃

I'd better correct my own mistake before someone sees it as an opportunity to rant...yes, I know I typed in CAMERA and not PHONE.

As for PC Suite working...how? I have a bluetooth adapter that plugs into a USB and it doesnt recognise it (or many others judging by this forum!)

The guy thats dropped his phone loads of times...rubbish... the bloody thing gets scratched sitting in your pocket!

Woo Hoo...a bastardised version of SNAKE and a sliding block puzzle game as the only games.... unless of course you purchase more from the network supplier, or is that the idea of good value for money...having to purchase stuff for the phone on top of the 's already shelled out?!?!?!? (oh yeah, and the three games downloadable from Nokia as and when a 50 bluetooth adapter has been purchased!)

Great, a phone that you can store your own WAV files on as ringtones...sorry I missed your call but even on LOUD the thing sounds muted (and thats just the standard ringtones before anyone critisises me for not installing the WAV's properly)

THe keypad... yeah, ok, novel design. Press a key too hard and it sticks... listen carefully whilst pressing them and you can almost imagine you are still at school...in a maths lesson...using a calculator for the very first time! (why do the keys rattle?!?!?!?)

Please, feel free to reply to these comments...but do it using constructive arguements for godsake!

Second samsung OS sucks, memory sucks, number of apps/games that you can install sucks, Symbian OS is the future of Smartphones if you can't make PCSuite working with your Bluetooth better change your mobile phone to a stupidphone and not smartphones like the 3650 which uses wireless and infrared connections.

Ringtone uses midi and wav which can be volumed up by ringtone studio edited right on the phone could you imagine that, pictures altered right on the phone using cameraFX or photographer, movie clips and I have half-full movies on a 128MB MMC in realmedia, mp4 formats not to mention the 3GP format, what else could I ask for.

And that is all because I asked the right questions before, you know don't pretend to be smart when you are stupid don't be afraid to ask questions INSTEAD OF RANTING ASK THE FREAKIN QUESTION .

If I made my point start asking question and STOP NAGGING MOTHA_FU*%ER

Besides I have 30 applications/11 awesome games (MGS full collection)/40 different ringtones/30 different wallpapers (given without the movie) on my phone which costed me less than a hundred bucks, hey it's me I can afford a 350U$D phone why not spend another 100U$D on making it sing&dance to my tune.

I'd pay for good developers/progs and shit on those shitty progs.

Yo right man, I now type 20wpm on this keypad and it took me 2 weeks only to get used to it. Now I type my sms even in the dark one-hand variation. 😃

Yes its me, the guy who dropped his phone loads of times . . .

All I can say is that its true and everytime I pick up the thing honestly expecting it to be scratched, its not! Mind you I do have the silver cover, perhaps the paint is a bit more durable than the more common blue cover.

I understand what that person feels. We cannot blame them as they have experienced using the phone.

Hope he registers. =)

Comparing the T100 Samsung phone with Nokia is a nice thing. However, each phone has different capabilities. I know that not all phones are created equal and perfect. You know that guys...

Just Keep Cool. 😊

Ok, i dont think you people who say that you only can capture 15s of video with 3650 has discovered "cam rec" ?

this program lets you record for several minutes in a single clip! my longest 1 is 3 mins, its all about how much memory you got that sets the limit. Enjoy! 3650 kicks ass! :bday:

I have been using Nokia communicators - 9000, 9210, 9210i and recently bought the 3650 to try out. Had some major problems initially. Finally got bluetooth usb dongle working after specifying a bluetooth connection serial port for use with the 3650 but it doesn't auto-connect, so its a matter of activating connection from the pc, before starting pc suite. Resetting the phone back to original purchased condition for me is by entering *#7370* and restarting. Had to do that as some software I installed apparently had to be installed into the main memory instead of the 128MB MMC card. I had "system error messages" followed by hanging but that could be bypassed when pressing the input key while restarting. That's irritating, so I always ended up resetting. A number of software have to be installed into main memory or the phone slows down. Here again, a lot of patience and trial and error required. My opinion is that the phone is good, however it requires a lot of software (which means spending money) to get it working the way I wanted it to. (So its still not my dream phone - but its the best I could find where most features I wanted are there). Was surprised that a 80MB avi file was converted by PC Suite to a size of 4MB gpp file. Used ETI Camcorder (Beta) to record 8mins video of my kid (definite improvement over the 15s limit). Used Photographer which works better. MP3Go for listening to my favourite CD, Opera for web browsing, repligo (trial) for my adobe docs, excel and word docs (have to convet from PC though). Handybook for ebooks, Avantgo for my favourite content (newspapers, tv listings, magazines, exchanges rates, etc.), Handyshopper for my shopping list, Joycalc for easy calculations, FExplorer (freeware) for file management, Worldmate for worldtime, weather forecast, and exchange rates calc. One2go as a shell. And lots of other softwares including java apps. Sorry, but I am not much of a game guy. Everything worked fine now after spending much money on the software I wanted and much tinkering. So, now I love the phone although initially I felt like throwing it against the wall. :P I spent like 2 months before I could get it working the way I wanted. Cheers and Best Regards to All. 😃

Can someone teach this guy how to type in English with grammar please?

To everyone else, thank you for some interesting feedback and some grown-up answers.

"If I made my point start asking question"...Crypto, what the hell are you on?

Felixc: you've hit the nail on the head. Need to spend money to get the phone working the way it should. The phone should come from Nokia working in the first place.

As for hiding behind the guest name(for Crypto once again)...what is registering going to allow you to do? come round my house and abuse me? No...so whats the probem. I have made some sensible comments regarding the Nokia 3650 and all you seem to be able to do is reply in a garbled English like you are tryin' to jive wid me. You really think I am going to take any notice of what you type if you type b*llocks?

Thanks to everyone else for having gone to school and studying the English language.

😃
