If you have anything more to say and its not on topic, please PM me so that we don't hijack it completely.[/B]

1. That is a big load of bollocks!Bluetooth is not something invented by Nokia.Bluetooth is a standard. Its Nokia to blame for that, not the headsets makers.2. Have you actually read any of the documentation on forum nokia? The whitepapers on Series 60 2.0 and the crossover from Series 60 1.x.It is clearly stated that with Series 60 2.0 there is a high level of compatibily with Series 60 1.x.And if we are going in to details, its Symbian 7.0s not 7.0,there is a big difference.
3. And what do you mean by that?Does anyone understand what that means?
4. Most applications actually do run.Drivers are a whole differnet issue,we are talking about simple applications and do you really want to compare a PC OS with and embeded OS?
5. Like i said before, even developers thought their applications would work because Nokia said so.And once again,Nokia is to blame for that, not the developers.
6. I have to agree with MemphisX that the 6600 was rushed
OK! I accept your apologize on the
"paid by Nokia" statement and
I do agreed that we should move on instead of hijack this topic further.
Below the replies to your post,
1. Yes I'd know that Bluetooth is a standard and is not invented by Nokia (Ericsson was).
But before any manufacturer start coming out a product for the use of another company product,
they'll need to get license from that particular company. And in the headset there's code to be
recognise by both devices. So nowaday you simply can't manufacture any products to be used on
another company products as your own will. Agree?
2. That's right Series 60 2.0 is ONLY "A high level of compatibily with Series 60 1.x".
And For 7.0, OK I did not type in the full word as I don't think anyone will mind about it (except you)
is just for some forum reading pleasure not neccessary to be particular exact, otherwise there will be more details needed.
If you really think everything should be perfect, then why were some AAS forum title is wrong? Like,
Nokia 6600
Discussion relating to the Nokia 6600 Series 60 (Symbian 7.0s) phone
for instance. It is misleading to all Symbian phone users. What a shame for AAS to make such mistake.
It should be Series 60 2.0. And if you look at others there's more errors...
So let's drop this line. Agree?
3. Agreed with you that not all users will understand what's the mean by that.
But sorry I'm not AAS forum lecturer here to teach people and to explain everything in details.
And I'd believed all participants here in AAS forum were of fun and hobbyist not for full time.
4. As you've already answer it yourself, ONLY "most applications actually do run" not all.
BTW, do you know how many Win9X/DirectX games actually run on a Win2k system on the initial release period?
Who's did the fixed? And how long does it take?
And is there big different in an OS that run with harddisk and one run with embedded ROM memory?
Wasn't them all digitally addressed in any form of memory?
5. Is that so, then why developers even bother to develop a 6600 compatible version?
Why developers even bother to frequently release new bugs fixed version in any of their softwares?
They might just blame it all on Nokia and saved all their troubles and sit back to relax.
6. Yes I would agreed with Mr. MemphisX that 6600 was of a bit rush-released.
But then a rush-released 6600 is much stable then any of Siemens big-buggy phones especially the 1 year old
and still yet to be officia release SX-1.
That's all from me Mr. GhostDog.
Bye!
