Availability of SendoX

Should be, as it's just been officially presented there!

It'll be less than the Nokia 6600. In an Italian web-store I came accross, the N6600 is 569 compared to the Sendo X's price of 529, so I think it's safe to expect it to be a little bit cheaper.

How come a phone designed and made in the UK takes so long to come out here?

Your right I misread British manufacturer as British manufactured 😊 , still doesnt explain why we get it so late.

I should think that they're simply selling the first batches to whomever ordered them first. First come, first serve.

One thing that you might want to note is that the UK might have imposed regulations on mobiles. As it says on the Sendo X website:

"The Sendo X phone has not yet received CE approval and has not yet been authorised as required by the rules of the Federal Communications Commission. This product is not, and may not be, offered for sale or lease, or sold or leased, unless and until authorisation is obtained. Other validations and approval are also still pending."

This might be one of the reasons for such late release.

sendo has now been authorised for the ce approval, ce-nr. 0168. (not yet updatet on the website...)

sendo will be available in italy, for telecom italia mobile customers at 17th of december.

release in uk, asia, usa and australia in january 2004

release in germany, holland, france and scandinavia is march 2004.

no release in austria, luxembourg and switzerland planned so far...

...gotta buy it in italy... 🙄

for europe, aust. and us: engl. fr. it. ger. nl. es.
for aisa special editions with the trad. languages

will tim's sendox be locked ?
no, but u will have to buy a prepaid sim-card with it...

and will they have "TIM" written instead of sendo ?
jepp....

Probably will be already available this week on Italian market. Some friends from TIM told me the distribution will start 13/14 December.. 😃 😃

TIM aka: Telecom Italia Mobile

Is an italian Mobile service provider (the biggest in Italy).
TIM has a world-preview contract for the Sendo X and will be the first brand to release this model.
It's for this reason that almost on every photo you can find online you see the TIM logo.

According to TIM infos, the Sendo X will be out in max one week.

So you reckon they'll have really messed with the interface ala Voda and the T610?

Or you think it'll just be, say, a TIM background/theme?

Was there a brightness setting on the phone? Maybe it can be turned up?

I don't want anything to be wrong with my dream phone 😃

EDIT: Oh and about the buttons? How did they feel? Are they spongy? My T610 has spongy buttons I dont like them that much. I prefered my Nokia 6510, that had awesome buttons

I hope it's different, not sure 'cause I have tested for just few seconds, so not really tested.. I think TIM will not make deep changes to the interface, just a theme in menu's and background.. probably on the SendoNow screen that can be modify..

For what I have seen the Sendo X it's simply great😎 😃 😎 , the only bad thing (I'm sorry, here is a problem..😞 ) is the brightness.. it's not very low, you can read everything, but it's lower than nokia 6600 screen. Not terrible however... I don't know if there is a brightness adjustment, I hope I'll get one X in next few days so I'll post a complete test! 😃

I want pictures! and lots of them lol, I want a full review! I'm counting on you Mero!! 😉 😃

I have read the manual and you can change the following:

General Settings:
Contrast
Colour pallette

Profile Settings:
Backlight Brightness
Backlight Timeout
Backlight Movie Brightness (game/video playback)
