convert .sis files on .mbm files

[i tried... but dun seem to be able to edit...

from where i can get some free bmb files so i can make .sis files.......do you have some.... :redface:

I've copied both comctl32 files to c:\windows\system32, I've put bmconv.exe in the same folder as mbmwhizard and the mbm file, but when I import the mbm file it always froze when "scanning mbm file" and then goes not responding...
why is this happen?
can someone help me?

i already have total commander v6.53 and patched sisview in it. i can browse and see the contents of my sis file, but now my problem is i think im not doing it correctly, coz when i try to open the mbm file in my theme editor it says error loading theme. will u pls help me with this matter. thanx and regards. What are you trying to do?

You can open the .sis file with theme studio, so there is no need to extract the .mbm file first, (unless you are using the microforum editor?, in which case, ask in their forum). 😊

make sure to use the bmconv.exe posted earlier in this forum, looks like it's version 103. The latest one you download from nokia with the theme editor does *not* work and is what causes mbmwhizard to hang, looks like it's version 113.

I know it is strange. but i need it badely. I have an exe file that i uses on my pc , how ever i also want to use that file on my nokia 6600 phone. any chances that I can convert that exe file in to sis applicaton. bit strange. But i want to satisfy my curiosty whter i can do it or not ?

Could you tell how this can be done, I am getting *really* desperate. 😊 You do mean the Nokia Theme studio, downloadable from forum Nokia?

I have managed to get the .MBM -files from the .SIS -files, and I was finally able too get MBM-wizard to work, at least partially: it still doesn't do the trick. I have managed to get rid of two error messages ('Not valid archive', and 'Run time error: Path not found'😉, but got new one instead: 'bmconv encountered problem, and has to be closed'. After that message the MBM-wizard is not responding anymore. I tested with a version from symbian-freak (got rid of the Runtime error), and the file downloaded from here. Both give the same error message.

Used UnmakeSIS as adviced, and copied both MBM-wizard and bmconv to the folder where UnmakeSIS extracted the MBM and SKN files.
Please help me, I am desperate!

it open some mbm fine not all (froze sometimes)

here i just unmake sis and change the photo and make sis. It works well with almost all themes available on net.and this information is as not available on net just add it as it may help many others to make themes, though they are poor in RAM.

i think, that the best way to edit theme is download ti, use SISXplorer to extract it, use MBMTool to extract that files to images, then modify this images in for example photoshop and go to www dot ownskin dot com, where click on CREATE NOW, use your edited images to make your new theme.. (themes on the page can you help too) enjoy😊 :icon14:
