My speaker just got louder

Something funny happened on the way to the forum (this one actually);

I tried voice dialling, but didn't have a contact for the name I spoke and it said that it couldn't find a match.

Since then, my speakerphone has gotten louder and the normal (non-handsfree mode) is now almost deafening (I'm not complaining, I just turn the volume down).

I'm scared to try voice dialling again in case it goes back to normal!

Anyone else noticed this?

Wow thats great,i'm trying the same right now, maybe you should trace back your steps and see if you done something more then the voice dial.

yeap...u are not insane 😃
i notice that before a month too
incredible!!

I've had a very similar experience.

For some reason all voice calls now deafen (How DO you spell that?) me. I have to turn the volume right up and thenback down again before I can hear without bursting an ear drum.

My speakerphone though is still so poor it must be faulty. I can bearly hear it in the silence of my own house. My 9210 was a lot louder, and my Sagem MY X5 (it may be a Sagem but it really is a FANTASTIC handset) can be heard by the backseat passengers in my car, even with the windows down along the M25!

hi, wow, its GREAT. I tried and now my speaker phone is much louder. Just hope that it would not fail in the long run.

just did some experiment. I off/on the phone and the speaker phone goes back to normal, soft. But then I try the voice dial trick, its becomes loud again. So, I guess you might just do this trick whenever you on your phone to have the loud speaker phone. Again, hope this would not fault the speaker/phone in the long run.

when i press the voice dial button, (the one on the side of the phone )
the phone shows " NO VICE TAGS SAVED"
before i said anything.

My question is , is thats the way you all do it ?
to increase the volume of the speakerphone ?

Well i tried a few times but i didnt notice any increase in the ringer tone or speaker phone at all.

But for the ear piece volunme , mine is a bit strangge cause sometimes it sounds very loud , and sometimes very soft. 😞

THX 4 the help and info anywae :P

hi, u have to create at least 1 voice tag for any contact, then u can try this trick. After u activated the loud speaker phone,I have noticed after u have don't something, maybe received a call, run some application the speaker will back to normal soft tone. So, I suggest every time before u want to use the speaker phone, just do the above trick.

o hyeah i 've done it
and it True!!!!!!!
it's unbeliavable
but it's true
hope that nokia can include this in their next soft upgrade
now my speakerphone is loud and clear :P
(wonder if the poly ring tones could be the same ?)

Slightly off topic, but that Sheep avatar, is that taken from the sheep screen mate?

If so, where do you get it?

If you don't knowe what I'm on about, don't worry about it!

Definately does.

Make call, switch loudspeaker on - Sound on high = Soft
Cut call
Try finding voicedial that does not exist.
Make call again, switch loudspeaker on - Sound on high = LOUD!

Hmm would this be grounds to get a new phone?
Is it a v3.12 trick?

The seven series as in7-650 (the phone you have now 😊) and the 9 series as in the 9210, 9210i, 9290, old 9110's!

Well it works on my 3.12,but it works only one time, then i have to do the voice dial,no match found thingy again to get it working.

this trick is really great! one prob though, the person on the other line gets a very loud echo - i mean really loud. my girlf friend hates it when i use the loudspeaker when i talk to her on the phone - but hell, i aint complaining!
