Hi guys, N7650 is really good, BUT, i shot many pictures and now it crashed down! It can't boot up now (Memory Full)! I tried everything but nothing works! I don't won't to bring it back to store becouse it takes 4 weeks to get it back. Nokia really don't think very much about it's products.
Does enyone have the same problems?
Please write back!

(sorry for the bad language I'm from Austria)

If you can't get the phone's operating system running and manage to delete files somehow, I don't think there's anything you can do, but take it for maintenance.

I know this very annoying because the same thing happened to my phone too.

We can only hope that a software upgrade will fix this bug soon.

O man, thats bad, but i can't believe that there isn't any reset button or something like this! FUC*

Did you make a backup before your phone got... er.. full?

I mean, I had a backup, but restoring it did not succeed totally. So I eventually I had to update my address book from where I had started. I have about 100 names, numbers and email addresses in the 7650. You can imagine it was damn annoying having to type in these again.

Tero

ou dear, hehe, you really had much work!!!!!
No I did't make any back up, but I have only 20-30 names and a lot of fotos. I read in an other forum that you can erase fotos from your nokia with the nokia cd-rom (nokia suite). The problem is i have no IR on my computer. Bad shit!!

There must be something, man look I'm so poor hehe...the newest messege: App. Closed Etel Server Kern-Exec 3 and a "self-shut down" happend hehe, really silly this mobilephone

I read somewhere in this forum that u must not left free memory less than 100k for it not to crash and can't on your phone again.

I start having this message "App. Closed Etel Server Kern-Exec 3" a couple days ago after I installed the webviewer(during webviewer startup). So, I removed the webviewer, but since then, a couple of times the same message appeared. But the phone back to normal after pressing the "ok". Hope I don't need to bring back to nokia for repair.

You guys are lucky. I have to key in around 300+ contacts 1 by 1 when I switch from 8310 to 7650. The contacts in 8310 are not compatible with 7650 in nokia suite. I guess nokia have to consider a way to do this in future.

Man that sucks, you could fill it up so easily, I hope a bug fix could be made that stops you copying too much data to it so that THAT cant happen. Otherwise thats lethal.

umm... is it possible from 8310 copy to simcard and then open it in 7650 then copy the memory from simcard to 7650 ?????

cos i often to do this if i want to copy from 1 simcard to another simcard

yes, u can do that but only with 1 number per name. Imagine if most of my names have more than 1 number, don't mention those e-mail, note, adds etc. So, its quite of tedious to transfer all of the contacts info from 8310 to 7650.

Only way to "memory full" is format the user data area in service centre 😞

ps. to contacts problem.. does the synchronize do the trick?

I got an error like this with Web Viewer and the fix was to set the gateway to 0.0.0.0 in the Access Point :-?

If u need to format ur phone u dont have to go to the nokia center:
The command for formating a 7650 is *#7370#.
Too bad u gonna loose all ur data. Good luck!

Chris (also from austria 😊

That command wont work if the phone can't startup.

I used Lotus Notes to sync the 8310 to Notes with pc Suite 4.8, and then used PCSuite for 7650 to resync with Lotus. Voila! not even one number typed manually

Ej man, I solved the problem, it will take about 3-4 weeks to get my mobilephone back!!!!!!!!! 😃 ( ..::motherfucking nokia ingenieurs have no brain::.. :evil😊

The same thing happened to me in August while I was on vacation 😞
I received a lot of MMSs one morning when I turned it on (while there was not much free memory left) and I got a message saying that the memory was full and I had to erase some data, but I could not open ANY application in order to delete anything. I turned it off and on again but it always showed a memory full message and restarted before even getting to the main screen.
I had to wait for a week (when the vacation was over) in order to have its software reloaded at the nokia service center.

So, the first 7650 "virus" was made by... NOKIA!! Want to crash someone's 7650? just send them a lot of MMSs and fill their memory!!! :P

Well I've got the same problem, but my phone's memory was not full, at least 1.3 Megs were free!!! I used the Space Doubler, and it worked fine. Once the phone lost power, and everything was gone.
It can't boot even , it flashed only the brave blue NOKIA sing (4 times), and switched off. I took it to the Nokia service, and the guy said he had never seen a thing before. He tried commuicate with the device, whit the Nokia's Phoenix repair soft, and he failed. The low level connection was not present at all. I think the BIOS must be dead. Now I'm waiting for repair, it takes approx. 1 week.(or more....)
I'm F*CKIN angry, and upset. Why can't nokia be responsible for such a s*it. And I DO NOT NEED a repaired phone, i need a NEW one.
So, that's all about Nokia.

Shit happens, but why always with me...... cry
sorry for my bad english....I'm from abroad. lol

You can try switching on your phone by holding to the ABC button and press the ON button at the same time, hold the ABC button for 10second then release it. That will boot up the phone in safe mode. Try it. If is doesn't work, then bring to your nearest nokia care centre.

After i got back my repaired phone, died again in 24 hours.
So I can't say more than Nokia has some serious problem with their phones. ( and the repair specialist is a fuck ) agrue
descripction of repai 5w, part rep. sound.
Find out what it is..................
Hmmmmmm.....
SHIT evil

The safe mode boot is a good idea, next time i will try.Thanx for it.
But there was no bios at all on the phone when it died........
NOKIA HARDWARE-SYMBIAN 02 8)

Okay, I'm not going to really add much to this, except to say that I sense some baaaaaad vibes here...

I've had the memory full problem before, but never to such an extent that I couldn't fix it myself.

Just remember that any software version below 3.16 is prone to crash in low memory conditions (with no way to fix it yourself). I'm up to 4.26 at the moment, and am having very little problems.

Not to rise to Nokia defense, but they're not THAT bad. The phone sells pretty well and most people are quite happy with theirs (I definitely am).
I suppose I'd be very upset if I had to wait 4 weeks for my phone, too - the longest I've ever had to wait was 4 days, and that was over a weekend. When I scratched my 7650's cover, I got a replacement front cover for the equivalent of less than 15 euros.
