Richard I think It's rather a memory problem, try the new version

I must agree

All you horny sheep out there, get on your knees and look up to your god Nosferatu who brings you Xcomics 😊

Download the first comic here

2 Nosferatu, since the text is a little to small, you could try using the original bigger images since they can scroll 2 😉

Thx to Nosferatu for setting the spirit of sharing archives 😉))

Can someone create a central archive for storing all these cartoons. Maybe that's easier than scrolling this thread twice a dat 😉

When are 256MB MMC or bigger coming? With the size of these comic strips, you simply blow up your memory card. Despite being a nice application, I would like to have some more stuff on my phone then just comics!

i have 1 64MB just for comics/photo, 1 64MB for those videos...
and i'm using a 128MB for my daily usage... 😉

It would be cool If just could leave them zipped and read from the zip archive. But that ain't gonna happen soon :s I have a 32mb mmc, but I only copy a few months on it, If you like for any archive to be split up (like the xcomic2) just ask 😉

Stll think some sort of Auto Delivery system via email at the start of each week would be a good idea - some sort of mailing list p'haps for each type of strip.

If their are enough people interrested in this, I'll will give it a look.
But it will be a lot of work to deliver a new archive every week so their have to be a big interrest.

I think Ewan's auto delivery by email at the beginning of the week sounds like a feasible idea.
Dazler, maybe you could set up a poll to see what the response is.

I have seen the topic and the reply.

Hi Dazler,

Do you have some download site for "Cartoon Today" ? I found it on www.aikon.ch, but it is the old version 0.01. Which version is the last one ?

The Handango site does not have "Cartoon Today", just "IconManager".

Last but not least, "Cartoon Today" is a very nice program. I have some minor sugestions but I would like to see the last version before commenting about it.

Regards,

Roberto

yep site is still down.
Cartoon Today was just my first app so I can imagine you've got quite a few comments 😉

[quote="Dazler"]I'm proud to present my second app 😊
Cartoon today will allow you to watch your favourite cartoons on your 9210.
Every time you start the program (or bring it to foreground) it will display the next picture in the archive 😊
Controls:
cba0/4 press once to make it visible

next pic : cba1 or enter or ctrl-n
previous pic: cba2 or ctrl-p
Hide: cba3 or ctrl-h
close: cba4 or ctrl-c
scrolling: arrow keys (if scrolling is possible)
open other archive: ctrl-o
to go to a image (needs to count all the images ... could take a while for a year archive) : ctrl-g
kill the titlebar : ctrl-T

Screen:
you can view cartoon with a size of 608x200 (170 with titlebar) at once, bigger images will enable scrolling.
You can set the scrolling speed in pixels, where 170 pixels is maximum, set this setting in the preferences menu so it fits your cartoon archive best.

Included in the sis file is a default.mbm which you may delete if you want to save space.

This application requires OPL runtime which you can find here:
http://www.symbian.com/developer/downloads/opl.html

People who are not registred on this forum can find the install files here:
WarLocks for Nokia Homefront

Any comments are welcome 😊
