What's new in 3.16

There is few fixes in new firmware version, but after the new version, user memory area will be 128 kB smaller. The upgrade procedure formats all user data, so backup is important. PC suite does not
take backup of Java applications and MIDI ringing tones, but these can be backup in service centre hopefully (if important).. The upgrade procedure takes lot of time if user data is saved, so it would be more faster if there's nothing to save 😉

Changes:

- MMS default access point is automatically activated

- "no save" -tag handling support included to WAP browser

- Fixes certain issue in the SW. which might have caused the phone to jam
totally, if the end user constantly keeps on adding new documents
(pictures, ringing tones etc.) to his/her phone despite the device has
already given several warnings about user memory being low and that
the user should release memory.

I think that last point is quite significant (ie, causing the phone to jam after using up a lot of memory).

Can anyone tell me if I will have to go to Communicaid for this, or will any Nokia approved service centre do the job?

Anyone know if there are fixes for the quiet speakerphone and incredibly loud ear piece issues?

Anybody want to try filling up the memory and seeing if the fix works? 😊

I don't know whether how true is my observation, after upgraded to 3.16 1 weeks ago, noticed my battery life last longer than previously. Normal bat now last about 3 days(previously, the most 2 days) while extended 1250mah lasted more than 4 days(previously about 3 days). My usage before and after the upgrade is no change. I don't know whether the upgrade got anything to do with this but it just happened.
