It's funny cuz they have the picture of the 9300 in that reservation site... I'm sure they've confused a lot of people.

Hello everyone!
I live in Athens, Greece. Just the other day I went to vodafone and tim shops, they dont even know when they expect to be selling the 9500. On the other hand, at a NOKIA shop, they told me that by next week they will have it in stock.

It is. I talked to a person working at Nokia and he told me that there is no chip failure within the new communicators. He also told me that the communicators will be sold during the christmas trade. But he did not want me to know when that will be :'(

Guys, I'm new to this forum. Lost my p900 and thought let me go for Nokia 9300 as I hardly use the camera on phones and the size of 9300 wins over 9500.

But saying all this I am a little confused as most in forum suggest that 9300 will probably be launched in first Q of 2005. I picked up this months Carphonewarehouse 's broucher and in it, along with the information on their website under "coming soon" suggest that they are expecting Nokia 9300 in stock in Novermber and no mention on 9500. Expansys's website suggest that 9500 are due in stock first and as yet to have release date on 9300..

What's going on?

Well Wht I Can Suggest u is u can see and even trust the Offical Nokia Site.
Nokia 9500 is coming this quater and Nokia 9300 will come in 1st quater of 2005.
Nobody except Nokia can give u a particular date. So 9300 may launch in Jan, Feb or Mar.

A lot of retailers in the UK seem to be getting the model numbers mixed up, my local retailer was convinced that the 9300 had WLAN and a camera and was the bigger of the two.

9500 is now announced on the coming soon part of the vodafone web

Are you sure?
I hope so, but in Nokia UK and Nokia PT (my hometown) it continues the availability for 4th quarter! 😞

Just called up my pal who works in Nokia 9500 production in Helsinki today, according to him (who is also using the 9500 pre-release at the moment), 9500 should be out this time around - meaning you should be able to see them in the shops ANYTIME now (at least for us in Finland). I don't know how much this info helps to comfort you guys, 😉 I guess it should be quite reliable uh (!?!)

My company has ordered me the phone couple of weeks ago, am so looking forward, am a commie fan too!
