I am living in greece and i have the network of Cosmote.
You pay 29,34Euro per month and you can use 40mb
Because i work there i dont have to pay anything. It's free!!!

in the philippines, it's still free for my network (Globe Telecoms)... 😊 maybe they are still testing...😊 lucky me 😉

Yup. I called Globe's hotline when i read this thread, and the customer service representative told me that using WAP over GPRS is still free 😊

OIC, hope this will not happen again...I think they are still on their test stage 😊

here it's 2$ for unlimited wap surfind (the shity way to surf the web) and
5$per months for 25MB GPRS ! 10$ for40mb GPRS and 25$ for 100mb GPRS...
*bump*

GPRS usage stats now:
sent data: 373.46Mb
received data: 1022.07Mb

😃
Thanks for bumping that up JyriK.

I really should have done a proper search shouldn't I?? 😮ops: 😉

Looks like you guys are okay in Finland, but the rest of us are getting screwed.

No problems 😉
As this was a rather old thread.

Yes, we have quite cheap GPRS in Finland and other services too. 😃
But still no MMS between operators 😞 a MMS message costs 0.08 for now
next february it will be 0.49 😞

Well Vodafone UK GPRS select is about the cheapest for a low user in the UK
2/mb - It might be a ew pence more but its not bad - i use about 5mb/month

Well with all luck GPRS wont be around much longer - 3G will be around soon - Cept Orange are really trying to keep it away cause they cant afford to upgrade there service [Poor lil orange, 25bn in debt] ... Hopefully Vodafone will push 3G tho, they seem to always be Pro Advancment... Shouldnt be any longer than 6 months now

Keep on dreaming... 😃 😃
And 3G will never cover the same area than what we now have.
Just available in town/city centres for a long time.

last bill was over 120 but the company pays for the 3/4 of the bill

GPRS is in the ball park of 60

Orange (UK) do offer a WAP only GPRS package that is 4 per month for 'unlimited' use (which means don;t go too much over 10mb or we'll start having words with you). Couple this with their Everyday 50 talk plan (ask and you can still get it) which gives me 50 minutes of Calls (inc Data calls) every day between 7pm and 7am and my monthly spendis around 19 (plus 3 handset insurance) for a good mix of GSM and GPRS data.

Canada Microcell Solutions, GPRS promotion package, as of January, 2003, offers $50CAD($33US) per month for unlimited transfer.

😃 gee guys ... i should be jumping of joy if what u say is true...in slovenia the primary provider charges about 10 euros for 50 mb and 0,001 euro for every mb over that limit... and the speeds are fantastic.. the provider is called mobitel and its located at www.mobitel.si...check it out 😉 well gone back surfing...c'ya

Over here in Australia, if you go with Optus they give you a free 2month trial. Not sure how much it is after that, but on my bill it was like AU$250 for about 20 megs(i think).. DaNg! lucky it was for free 😃

The 3 operators that provide grps in Greece, charge as follows:

VODAFONE GR
either 0.0059/Kb for general use but 0.0295/Kb for WAP (!!)
or 0.00177/Kb for general use, 0.0295 for WAP (!!!), 10MB free (not for WAP use though), but has a 11.8 monthly fee

COSMOTE
34.6212/month with a 40Mb limit (anyone gone beyond that to see what happens?)

TELESTET
17.346/month with a 1MB limit !! (according to the site, I am not sure the limit exists, though)

All above prices are for individuals (not companies) and include VAT.
They don't make too much sense, do they? 😃

Here you have 2 Options!

1) 15$ Subscription fees per month, and 0.4$ per MB.

2) 1.5$ per MB, without Subscription fees.

it's a bit expensive here :-?
