Hmmm... I was expecting that, some day, there will be a "BT HDD" and voila! here it is! :P .
Let me share my impression with you, about this BT device:

1st: YES, it's big (about size), but don't complain! With this "HDD" (and all the other capabillities that may come - support by eFileManager, etc.) you shouldn't call the 7650 as "Smartphone" but as "laptop" 😃
(By this point of view, isn't it smaller? 😃 )
2nd: NO, by my opinion, it is cheap! :fadein:

everyone's complaining about having to lug it round, but it's not like it has to connected to your phone or anything. i'd just keep it in my bag/briefcase/desk drawer etc and when travelling or whatever you'll always have access to it - the beauty of bt?

If you purchase a Samsonite 625 Hardlite ICT, your phone, HopBit and business-case could have a little chitchat when they are bored. 😃

I definitely need one of those, the perfect geeky, rather useless, but very professional-looking toy for persons who don't really know what they should purchase next and want all their gadgets connected. Too bad I have to wait till next year.

Yeah, on second thought it could be still somewhat usefull.
But wont be getting one quite so soon.

Now only thing missing is a bluetooth enabled camera with
really good resolution, and then this would be really useful. 😃

Actually i changed my mind! I'm quite amazed ! It's 5GB for crying out loud! I wonder how many movies i can stack inside it! now i don't have to buy a 128MB memory stick for the P800! I can move all my pc data to this thing! But now theres a third thing i have to watch out for (other than my wallet and mobile phone)
Oh well! It's worth it (i guess..)
can i use it in planes ????
Well, not with the 7650,maybe with a PDA,one more thing, does anyone know how this thing is built,i mean,if it has a regular HDD structure it must be very very fragile. So,thats one more downside.

About bluetooth, can i be using bluetooth for two stuff at the same time? Generally speaking, having my Toshiba HobBit connected to my P800 and at the same time, using my Bluetooth Headset.

Can it be done? :-?

modern HDD's arent that fragile. You can drop one from quite high and it
will work still. (if its not writing 😃 )

and 2 bluetooth connections should be possible at the same time
depends on device of course. dont know about P800.

Hold on, don't get too excited. 😃

I only said that SeleQ will support bluetooth file transfer/networking/browsing/whatever you may call it.

As far as I know it's only from another 7650 with the same software installed. One would act as server and the other as client I guess. Bluetooth HD's are still a no no until sombody develops drivers or software with which to access them.

BTW: I'm pretty sure bluetooth is illegal on flights. It is classed as radio communication after all, which is banned. Even a 10m range is enough to be problematic. Seeing as some classes of bluetooth devices have a range of upto 100m, how would air staff know which to allow and which to ban? Safest option is to ban all radio communication. The only form of wireless data transfer allowed is infrared, or so I thought? :-?

And USB! :P :P :P

But i think we can wait for a maximum 16 hours until we open our symbian device again, i know it's addictive. But CONTROL yourselves!!! 😃

Well don't think im that Coo Koo! I did read in infosync once about wireless USB, guess it's in the works or something!

You know technology is on 6th gear! It's evolving really fast! Theres all sorts of news about "wireless" stuff. That smart wiresless charger pad that charges anything you put on it, via electronic whatevers. And then theres gonna be better battery consumption for coloured screens when they make this new kind of screen technology that improves battery preformance from 25% to 400%! All in the future, but distant future that is! 2005 and beyond is just around the corner!
