offtopic (for you 7650 guys)

Ive downloaded XTM dos emulator for 9210i. It is really cool. Look at the screenshots: ms-dos 6.22 and great icehockey game from past: Faceoff.
Only negative thing Ive noticed is the speed. Its XT (8088) emulator so the games are little slow (for example faceoff is for 286->😉. I hope that the next communicator will have 386-emulator 😉

all this talk but the quest series are still vaporware.

also to the developer:how about a better site that shows your progress.

I can see how you can play these games on a 9210 with it's full keyboard but somehow doubt the playability on a 7650. There's enough Sierra engines about to get these games ported easilly enough, maybe someone will port the old LucasFilm engine (SCUMM). Imagine Loom, DOTT, Monkey Island, Full Throttle, etc on the 9210.

i'm off on holiday for a couple of weeks. I hope when I come back in January this will have been released, and that some of the Fathammer games will be on sale. :P

arghhhhhh please make sierra quests for 9210/9290 PLEASE PLEASE!!! argh i wish 7650 was out in usa

Happy New Year and thanks all for you for the interest in the project! 😊
Suggestion to update the site on the regular basis is also good 😉

On the status: We are working on the sound and music support, it's still in alpha. The rest is in good beta status.

We would love to start selling it as soon as it's ready but still waiting for the Sierra's decision on that...

Well well well...
We are getting more and more questions on 9210... 😊

Ok. Let me put it this way: when version for 7650 gets ready we go for 9210! 😃

hey wouldnt the music/speech fetures etc your adding or the audio setup anyway bloat the program a tad?

Wouldnt it be more resource friendly to leave them out?

I have to disagree! Although there could be a light version without sound......for the memory hungry 7650 users....the final project MUST include sound for the 3650 and later phones

It looks really pushed together along the horizontal axis.

AAS staff this site
http://opentrap.narod.ru/

The authors site says he has sent you the demo version of this stuff, yesterday or today pending what country timezone etc your in

IN ANY event its obviously in your mailbox, where is it already
a download????///!!!!?

Yes we do have it, no we wont distribute it (fairly obviously). Expect a preview soon.

Rafe

My apologies I was under the impression that it was being released to these forums as a Demo version, not just to the staff for a preview.

Let's talk about commercial aspects 😊

How much would you pay for the legal copy of the game
with proper documentation, installation package and support?

If you managed to release this for the 9210 i would gladly pay roughly between 5 & 10.

To clarify: 5 & 10 per game? Say Space Quest I for 5, Space Quest II for 7, Larry for 10?

I would pay 10 euros for Police Quests and 15 euros for Larrys. 15 euros is a max. (I have 7650)

Alexandro, if you can release legal versions, how about contacting Nokia and releasing these on N-Gage? 😮
