Hi Guys Hope this isnt a late post, Doesnt seem to have Dates.. Hmmm any ways i am getting the Nokia N95 On Tuesday Next Week 10th April.. (Btw SA) and i will let you guys know everything you need to know, Just ask.. O and about the battery i'm also Stressing about that, The Nokia6600 Is still a Killer Phone for its time.

Got caught by the hype around the phone, couldn't decide if it was the camera or mp3 player of gps that excited me the most. The only one to come out with flying colours is the camera.

Despite the hype of the other features none, including the GPS, deliver against the hype. For a considerable sum of money you are buying a device hacked together from second rate components. They look sexy and glossy from the outside but inside they are second rate. Take the radio, you need to find out the numbers of non-commercial stations to tune in. There is no auto tune. On it's own not a sufficiently niggling reason to return the N95 for a full refund. When looked at from the perspective of an media player that adds it's own hiss to everything it starts to get more niggling. Compound this with a GPS that takes 20 - 30 minutes to position you you see where this is drifting.

The ultimate niggle is the constant buzz on the phone.

I have given up and got a full refund for the returned N95. It was "Great hype, shame about the reality" try again Nokia, third time lucky.

Hi a quick question:

Does the Nokia N95 have a permanent flash that you can use while recording a video?

Thanks

>what about the call/voice quality?

The only people who would go for this phone are sad pathetic losers who would not be calling people in real life, so the call quality is not a major selling point of this handset.

one of the best mobile phones in the market

Those sample pictures are terrible, the JPG architecturing is evident! sure the pictures are large, but the resolution is terrible, the tree and bubble pictures are evident of this, pixilation clear along all edges.

The K800i 3mp Camera still takes far superior pictures. Once again Nokia has made a device which is jack of all trades, master of none.

Like the N80 and N93 I'm sure this will suffer the same terrible software conflicts and lack of RAM.

The UK stockists I have spoke to have, like the N93, no hopes for success of this device.

Shame, Nokia once lead the industry

I must say that the Old dog and The Soppy Ginger cat are quality, that cat seems to be able to sleep on top of anything, Oh and the Phone is great too. Cheers for the review mate!!

Looks great. The only thing I miss is the higher screen resolution found on the N80. Any idea why nokia took a step back with the n95?

Good point. I prefer N80 screen then N95 one. N95 should have VGA Screen... because if computers became that little resolution screen, I prefer a notebook.

<The UK stockists I have spoke to have, like the N93, no hopes for success of this device.>

Oh really? Why there are information like

- "Vodafone Liverpool Street sold out of Nokia N95s"
- "Carphone Warehouse is sold out of Nokia N95's".
- "Early results are promising: UK mobile phone outlet Carphone Warehouse has a message on its site limiting purchasers to one N95 'due to high demand,' and according to Nokia, boutique phone stores in New York City sold out within a day."

?

<Shame, Nokia once lead the industry>

Shame, Motorola once was a decent competitor.

the N95 ia an amazing piece of kit, just been taking photos whilst listening to music, music would'nt play in video mode though, packed out with so many feature's its untrue, a real must, get one now!!!!

I've been reading a bunch of other reviews from other websites on this phone and wanted to ask for your opinion on its battery life. I've read that it's rather shoddy. What do you think?

great phone but is it just me or does the battery need recharging every day? The battery life on mine is useless. Is anyone else having the same problem?

Yes I agree that this N95 is a very good phone, camera etc. However, its GPS performance is very poor and the CPU is a bit on the slow side. The GPS is not the latest SiRF111 20 channel receiver and this limits its ability to receive a strong sat signal. The N95 is a very expensive phone - If you want a device to perform highly in all areas then try the Asus P535. It has all the same features of the Nokia N95. Only downside is the 2mp camera. The Assu P535 has a touchscreen - this is great if you want to add a decent GPS software program like TomTom 6 etc. Something the N95 struggles to do as its processor is smaller!

Hey Guys Wait. Wat Are You Up To
I Dont Know Much About The Really Busy People But We As A Teen Have Best Thing In Our Hands

3 Mp3 Players

Not There Are All Features That An Ipod Has. So Go N Buy Those Ipods With Huge Gb's. Hey Only If You Are Dam Addicted To Songs. Relax Enjoy It Over N95

4 All Sorts Of Connectivity Options

Give Me Name Of Any Cell Phone That Provides With All Connectiviy Options.bluetooth,ir,usb, etc Etc.

5 Only Faults Found In Contract Mobiles

If You Guys Noted That Who Ever Made Or Said It Is Not Good, It Is Worse , Slide Fault, Rebooting , Caller Can Hear Etc Etc . These Comments Were Only Posted By The Users On Contract With Many Providers.y Dont U Guys Buy Sim Free.defenitly There Must Be Fault If U Get Such Expensive Thing So Cheap.another Reason Is That Such Providers Make Several Changes In The Sets Before Providing Them To The Users.

Hipe U Guys Got My Views In Positive Manner.

here r some specs for the n95 that might help u guys:

-64 mb ram
-16m color

the n95 slide is loose it can open in ur pocket and unlock the keypad. its battery needs to b recharged every 18 hours.

In response to an earlier comment about ditching a digital camera and using nothing but a phone, yes I agree it is getting closer (LMAO at the awfull pictures the Sharp GX10 could take), but look at the sample photos in this review, they look bad, as I say to many people, its quality NOT quantity (eg. high megapixel doesnt always mean it will be great), it looks to me like the photos are interpolated (the device uses software to to stretch the image to 5mp from lower resolution). I have a fuji digicam which is 3mp (with a 6mp interpolated setting) and the photos it takes are stunning, very sharp and colourfull on 3mp setting which can be printed on a full A4 sheet of glossy photo paper.
1 other thing, the camera on the Sony Ericsson K800i are better than the N95 (which has a real flash, not a bright white led which blinds the people your taking the photo of but produces more natural colours), so if you want a much cheaper option which can replace a digicam for MOST people get that instead, it even has a pretty good mp3 player.
Take a look at this sample

Can I play MP3s on the N95 by streaming them from my PC hard disk, over Wi-Fi?

All I've found is that I can copy the files to the N95's SD/in-flash first and play them from there. But I want to browse my PC's HDD and play MP3s straight from it.

I'm not a Symbian user so I don't know if applications can be added to do this in the future.

Thanks very much.

think going to be big flob,its nokia bet you have to charge it every night.and half the systems{eg.gps internet,and memory well cost lots to get}

iv got this fone and let me tel u it is wiked. i was lucky to get it a day afta it came out for only 235. no problems yet tho

I've had this phone for about 3 weeks now and cannot fault it.
The battery life could be an issue for some (needs a charge at the end of each day) But if you turn off certain apps, like the wi-fi sniffer, the battery life increases drastically.
It's by far the best phone i have ever used.

The ram on this is 64mb, 128mb on the 8gb version. I badly want the 8gb one, but its sooo overpriced (650 unless you get it from eBay) so i might just get the normal one. Iphones suck.

how do you transfer individual pictures from your n95 to nokia lifeblog on the computer? wen i try it, it transfers all my data, texts pics etc.!!?

hi,
can i install .sis and .sisx applications on the n95?if yes then how?
