Urgent Help!!!!

I installed some dodgey software on my N95 and it asked for a re-boot. After the re-boot everything was looking fine until i tried to go into the main menu. as soo as it goes into the main menu the phones hangs then reboots itself.

I can use the quick launch keys that are on the main screen and i can go into the media menu is there another way to uninstall a program without going through the main menu or is there a way to master re-boot the whole phone so it gets rid of this.

Please can anyone help me??!!!

Thank you

I would suggest the same - Deep Reset *#7370# : This reformats completely the C: drive. All applications and files stored on this drive will be lost and clean default files will be rewritten.

Well your last option is to do a back up and then a hardreset. (*#7370#) Before you do that though you could try to start your phone in "safe mode". I haven't tried this on the N95, but most symbian phones have this feature so I guess it's the same with ours.
Safemode doesn't start any installed apps and it's done by holding down the pencil key while you press your power button. Keep holding it untill you need to enter your PIN.
Then delete any problematic apps and restart your phone.

Let us know if this works.🙄

Formatting with *#7370# is usually enough

If this doesn't work though there's a HARD RESET procedure available...

1. Power off handset
2. Press 3, * and GREEN buttons
3. Power on (still pressing the three buttons)
4. Wait 30-60 seconds (still pressing the three buttons)

If a hard reset does not solve your problems then you either have a hardware problem, corrupt Firmware, or your memory card has something dodgy in it.

I sorted my phone out anyway but i tried the safe mode but it didnt seem to work or maybe it did but it looked the same (im not sure what safemode looks like).

It was some dodgey software i installed on my phone Mobile internet security (ohh the irony) i just left my phone for a little while then it allowed me to navigate through my menu so i could uninstall the software (it seems to be working alot better now, hopfully stay that way)

cheers for all your help!!!

OK i decided to do a format after all (*#7370#) but its asking for a key wats the defualt key i have changed no security keys. if they are different for all service provider / phone where can i find it (Just in case u need to know i have a N95)

thanks in advance
