Which colors are released already?
The Nokia 6120 Classic reviewed - the smallest and lightest smartphone in the world!
Though it is recommended to get the 6120 for T-Mobile USA
Is it possible to use 6121 too?
Which phone supports GSM 1900? They told me that was what they used.
It seems a better alternative to E50. I'm waiting for this to be released in India. Anybody know when it's going to be?
I have recently just brought a Nokia 6120 classic, and i use the calendar on my phone quite a lot. But sometimes the reminders don't go off, and it also come up with a message when i go into the calendar - "1 or more calendar notes may have been missed due to time change" - does anyone know anything about this?? P.S. The time on my phone hasn't changed if that helps any! Thanks
Hi, I live in the US and have been waiting for this phone to finally be released. Now that it is available, it seems that only the Asian version is for sale. I cannot find any seller who has the European version, i.e. without the Chinese letters on keypad. Does anyone know where I can buy the English only version (english alphabet and numbers only on keypad with english and other european languages configured in the phone)? It has to be unlocked and be usable in the US whther with an adapter or transformer/trnasceiver...?
thanks for the review. after reading it, i am sure that nokia 6120 classic will be my next phone, which I will be getting later next month.

English-only keypads not available yet. Suppliers only seem to ship from Asia (Hong Kong) even though the phone is already widely available in Europe. Used to be the opposite - why? cheapest to ship by large batches and chinese suppliers are willing to ship out large batches... You'll be hard-pressed finding an English-only keypad version of this phone shipped from Europe...
Tell me please about photos quality of this smartphone. Is there a prevalence of green colour and a noise considerable quantity? I have tested the smartphone in shop and it had this feature. This fact makes me to be very sad 😞

:icon14: Thanks a lot,😊
I got a confusing data on Nokia 6120 internal memory:
Some specifications mention its internal memory is:
- 35 MB of user memory, 64 MB SDRAM and 128 MB ROM.
While N73: - 42 MB shared memory.
6680 (my current phone): -10 MB shared memory for storage, but if we open FExplorer it says: C: 9928 Kb <flash>, D: 1883 KB <ram>, E: 978 MB <disk> and Z: 0 KB <rom> (I have 1 MB MMC in it) .
So far only 6120's specification is mentioning detail memory composition as the above.
On my 6680 if we installed FExplorer it shows also comprising of RAM (1883 KB) and Flash (9928 KB). Base on this I suspect that most Symbian based cell phone have the same memory structure but were not published.
My questions are:
- Is my conclusion is correct about most Symbian base cell phone memory structure?
- What is memory composition of N73?
- Which has bigger user memory 6120 or N73?
Please help me, I am going to upgrade my cell phone to either N73 or 6120 I am still confused which one. Thanks again.
Some non Nokia specification publishers mention that 6120 has - 35 MB of user memory, 64 MB SDRAM & 128 MB ROM. A new way to specify internal phone memory. While for the other just - 42 MB shared memory (N73).
Source from phonescorporation.com.
My question are:
- Does it mean 6120 has bigger internal memory than N73 (35+64+128= 227 Mb)?
- Will 6120 work faster the N73 because more memory does it have?
Please explain as I am about to upgrade my 6680 (9928 KB Flash, 1883 Ram & 0 KB Rom as seen by FExplorer v1.17).
I do hope there will be some body do help answering me.
You mention the small screen size for those with poor eyesite. Is the font larger that that on the E50, which is very small indeed.
Nice review ..... but I am still confused between 6120 and 6300 ....... iam planning to buy a phone in next 3, 4 days and so far as many reviews I have read ........ they either put 6300 higher or 6120 (including CNET rating) so cant decide which one to go for. Some key questions:
- Is the colour and screen quality of 6120 better than 6300?
- I havent seen them in real so can u tell me which on eis better looking?
- which one has better built quality?
- I have heard that 6300 interface is much quicker and faster to operate. How fast is it compared to 6120
- And what distinguishes 6120 from 6300 such that 6120 is a smartphone and 6300 isnt?
- Is 6300 outdated already as far as applicatoins and interface are concerned?
- Does 6120 seem to have a longer lifetime?
I would really appreciate if u can reply asap and in detail ..... it will really help me decide. Than you very much

I have recently upgraded my handset to the new Nokia 6120 classic.
The handset gets VERY hot after only a couple of mins,
My ear and my head feel very strange for ages after using it.
I am scared to use this phone as I feel it is dangerous.
I am on the 3 network.
Have you heard of other such complaints?

yeah, mine gets very hot too. i think it's the type of metal they used, and i got a feeling it's going to get very cold in winter! i just called 3 customer services and they are going to look at it. they are sending a courier tomorrow and i won't have the phone back till tuesday (tomorrow is thursday!) they said they might repair or replace it. whatever they do i don't want the same model again because i got a feeling they're all the same. i am really regretting getting this handset now.
so just call the customer services and complain. they said they had other people complaining about it too. having all that heat in your ear cannot be good for you so i think we are right to complain.
good luck!

the picture quality is very bad. i don't recommend this phone.
I can't seem to find a way to import csv data files - so I have to rekey all my 200 contact names and numbers. Help anyone please?
Thank you for an interisting review 😊. I have a 6290. My only complaint with it is, that it is almost unpossible to read the inner display in bright sunlight, and that the maindisplay is turned off completely after a short time (could'nt change that in setup!). The outer display is perfectly readable in sunny conditions and stays readable even after the backlight is turned off. How does the 6120's display behave as to deep power-save mode? Is the display readable in bright light?

At nokia.com - ''technical description'' for 6120, there is no one word about FM radio. Local NOKIA salesman explained to me that it is not ''gadget phone'', but business phone. On the contrary, T-com salesman tried to convience me that THERE IS FM radio on 6121. But he had no phone to show or sell. So, does anyone know is there maybe some different version or...
Is there anyone tried to use gcalsync on 6120?
I would like to buy this but I want a phone that can sync with my google calendar.
Thanks for reply
I am wondering about this whole missing "pencil" key. I understand its been integrated with the # key but i was wondering if all its features worked the same?
Will it still do copy in paste with text and will it mark files when held down as the "pencil" key does on other S60 phones?
thanks,
Do you know if it is possible to use TomTom Mobile 5 or Navigator 6 with the Nokia 6120 Classic? I have asked the question in Carphone warehouse, but no one there could give me the answer.
Thanks
Yes, no problem. Like any other S60v3 device.
Hi NJ7
Thanks for letting me know it is possible to use TomTom on the Nokia 6120.
I have an older Nokia model and when I'm activating the phone lock code after I'm trying to unblock the keypad the phone is asking for the code. After I'm entering the code I can use the phone.
Can this phone be locked with a code?
I'd like to know if this phone have this feature. Is a must have because I can let my phone on the office and nobody can enter it.
Thanks, Tudor

Is that with tt5, as the wife has just got a 6120 free from 3 and before i dive in to install i just want to confirm which i should go for?
Hello from Australia from a 60 year old novice. 😊
A few days ago I bought a Nokia 6120 and am very pleased with it. I bought a 2gig micro card and have been transferring some music with Nokia Music Manager in the PC Suite.
Can someone tell me if the music transfers automatically onto the card or onto the phone and perhaps explain to me why I got a message, after transferring a few tracks in Music Manager, that the phone was full, yet the card has used only 120mg of its 2gig. Should I be configuring something? :con?
Thanks.
Dear Friends,
I am from India. I would like to know
1. Whether the 3G frequencies in this phone compatible in the future Indian cellular services? BSNL and AirTel?
2. How much time we can record the voice?
Is there any limitation for voice recording in it? In what format it records? What will be the bit rate of the recorded voice?
Nokia support for Macs has improved a lot lately but the 6120 classic doesn't show up in their list of Mac supported phones. Given it has a standard OS I'm hopeful the 6120 would be able to use one of their standard plug-ins. Does anyone know for sure?
Just to update the other poster that was looking at the Nokia 6120 and Tom Tom.
I have now upgraded to the Nokia 6120 and Tom Tom Mobile 5 is not compatible. I am waiting for confirmation from Tom Tom as to whether Navigator 6 is compatible.

Thanks
***i ment v.6 in tittle, i originally used it on N80 it was fine then on N95 still fine and but wont work on this for some reason!!!!***

I am new to this whole mobile handset business. I live in the US and things here suck compared to the rest of the world as far as mobile telecom goes. I have an HTC Hermes as my main phone for business, but I wanted something smaller that ran SYMBIAN. Enter the 6120 Classic. I have been greatly surprised by ease of use and overall quality. Great job. Since I have WiFi on my HTC, I don't miss it at all on my 6120.
