I've got a hankering to use the GPS and sports tracker app on m'bike, but really need something on the bars to click it into.
Has anyone any recomendations for a decent cradle I can botch onto my bike? Most searched seem to come up with those cheapo "fits all" car ones and I think I'd need something a little more secure...
Thanks
I made one myself for my N93 (folded out in video camera mode) out of foam, and strapped it under handle bars. (For filming people stacking it infront of me , and for gps tracking)
It worked fine, and ofcourse the foam gave it lots of anti-shock protection. videos came out great, its probably worth enabling 'Video Stabalisation' though if you dont want a bouncy video!
I have yet to make one for my N95, wouldnt think theres anything on the market to do the job! I wouldnt go with anything like a car holder thats fixed directly to the handle bars though... the type of riding i do would certainly damage the handset through shock/vibration.
I've had a quick look in Halfords for something, but the only things they have seem to be 1) for small phones 😉 and 2) Covered - ie can't see the screen while it's in there!
Gazp,
What kind of foam did you use for this? I assume something pretty tough?
The idea of making my own doesn't seem too extreme...
Thanks for the tip about halfords...
Googling came up with a number of commercial options. I noticed some on memory-map .co .uk that looked good for road use that bolt onto the handlebars. For mountain biking the foam idea sounds much better for the phone as I wouldn't want all the shock going directly into it
go to www.viewranger.co.uk
email them or add them to skype and ask the question. I remember the guy told me over the phone a couple of sites for phone cradles by I have forgotten them!!
Did you mean Mountain Bike or Motorbike?
If it was Mountain bike, I used to use a Krussell case for my old N73. You buy the leather case which attaches to a handle bar bracket. Worked very well, haven't got round to buying the N95 case yet, but I will.
Check out the black range at the bottom of this page.

Thanks for the tips,
Am interested in the Krusell setup, but is there a case which will allow you to see the screen + have the keypad out for GPS lock?
The red Label case looks to be the only one which shows the screen, and that locks in the slider (at least to use the slider you need to undo a poper which then seems to make the multidapt connection a bit flappy...)
I've not used these guys before so tell me if it's just bad pictures on their site?
Thanks
Going to resurrect this post, rather than starting a new thread.
i too am looking for a bike mount.
I have both pushbike and motorbike
But i want to get something good for the pushbike first.
Don't mind paying good money for a quality, solid bracket, that would allow me to use phone opened out for GPS....And obviously safe from passing thieves, while i'm stopped at the lights

Got one of these recently from ebay (the 4.99 ones), a bit bulky but holds the phone nice and tight and ideal for using with sports tracker - which I use it for
