New E65 firmware - 2.0633.65.01

The new E65 fimware is available via NSU now.

I updated my girlfriends phone on the weekend. I changed the product code to generic Euro1 0536850 and updated, so far so good.

Not really that I noticed, although I don't really use the phone. The only thing I noticed is that the short vibrate when you turn it has gone.

A lot of people have been complaining about this phone so maybe they've fixed things in the background rather than adding more features.

Changed my product code and upgraded mine, can't see any real differences except the change in product code has allowed the download of a lot more apps than when it was Orange, including MSN

Applying the generic firmware removes all the Orange (or in my girlfriend's case, Vodafone) customisations and extra security they add to stop you communicating in ways they don't make money from.

Guys I cannot update my E65 in South Africa, its not branded. The product code that came with the phone doesnt allow me to get V2 of the E65 firmware,I tried changing it to Euro,1,2,3 & Scandivian but still no luck,it says the same message everytime "no software updates available".Anybdy get any ideas?

Updated mine too.

Now my firmware is:

2.0633.65.01
03-10-07
RM-208
Nokia E65

But where I can find the change log of this firmware? 😞

when you did change the product code did you use the v1.0.3812 of NSS,cos I used the earlier
v1.0.389 and afterwards the NSU still said no updates...:con?

got my E65 sorted out,I needed the latest version of NSS,in the release notes it says about support for the E65 & E61i,which the previous version did not have...I now have the latest v2.0633.65.01 firmware...😎

I have just tried using NSU and it says there is no update for my phone.

E65 RM-208
Current 1.0633.18.02
Orange network

Any ideas?

Have got a bit further by using the Euro default code. I am asked if I want to download update and I click the tab which then goes to the same screen without the code box?????
Am I missing something
