From accelerometer enthusiast(!) Andrew Galpin comes news: "The first of Samir’s two new apps
have been released to beta testers. The first one, ShakeMe (video below), allows

I want it for my new N95 8GB but the blasted Symbian Signing Site is still offline, they mentioned it would be fixed up yesterday, but still nothing...come on guys there is so many accelerometer apps I want to put on but cannot due to lack of dev certificate...😡

I removed the light sabre app from my phone, because I didn't like the snapping movement needed to get the sound effects, and by the looks of that video, I won't be installing this app either. The idea of shaking my phone around like that horrifies me.

The shaking didn't look too bad, it has to be a firm shake to differentiate from normal movement. If the other apps such as RotateMe are anything to go by, the sensitivity can be configured in settings.

As my N95 phone has taken 2 impacts from about 4 feet onto asphalt and concrete without any damage then I am sure it will handle a bit of shaking.
