It seems Nokia has a new NSU.
It crashes 2 laptops so far.
Way to go Nokia.... :icon13:

Please be more explicit. I installed yesterday NSU version 1.4.36 in replacement of v1.4.23. It crashed indeed at first execution, but I disabled temporarily the firewall (ZoneAlarmPro), then it ran OK. Now I can use it with the firewall enabled, after NSU approval in the firewall settings.
Did not crash my laptop tall, I just had to give it permission to access the net in my firewall.

Same to me. No problem...
I had problems with it here.
Crashed on two PCs, but I finally got it all working after completely uninstalling and reinstalling again.
Same issues here, crashed my laptop, and I had disabled my firewall. Running Vista Business, and am lead to beleive its something to do with Vista.
To be honest, I would say Vista IS a problem...
😉
Hello,
Theproblem and solution are network based. One or more network based service and/or firewall preventing NSU ti work. Try to check firewall or stop Internet connection service and so on. In my case stopping internet connection service solved the problem.
That means NSU can work on Vista but not 100% compatible.
Cheers,

Cheers,
If that means not 100% reliable, better stick to XP if you want to update yourself - having a crash during update is a very bad thing.
I am going to keep one XP machine here for compatability and move to Mac's for new purchases. Vista just keeps getting so much bad press and I have not yet seen a single argument supporting that Vista is better than XP...
but, back to topic, most service centres here will update a phone for free if it is stil under warranty, that is the way to go..
