hi, before i start digging around, figured i'd ask persons in the know.
I'm about to embark on a flight, 10 hours, assuming the battewry lasts long enough, i'd like to load a couple of rugby games onto the memory card to watch on the plane.
Is it so that if i remove the sim card from the phone, i can use the phone in an offline state?
Would i be able to watch video?
The video i have is an AVI, more detail i don't remember, will iit play on the real player?
Would i be able to pause, stop, resume play. Or would it go back to the beginning?
In which case it would be no doub better to convert into segments with Super?
Convert to which -- 3gp, avi, etc
Thanks in advance
That'll be fine. The phone functions fully without a Sim Card ; even bluetooth and wifi work.

He's going on a flight - don't use Wifi or bluetooth.
Keep the sim card in and use the offline profile.
As for AVI, I'm pretty sure it doesn't work with real player. Convert to MP4 instead.
The battery wont last 10 hours off video playing in the inner display.
You can take one of those extra charge devices!
Convert it to .mp4 or .rm (.mp4 is better)...
dont use any connectivity method..the profile should be offline (dont care if sim card is inserted or not)...
this will make the full use of the battery but i dont think it will play video for 10 hours.
Thanks for the replies. Also realised that i only have the stock memory card at present so 512mb. Have to get a bigger one before putting video on, most of the original size files are a shade either side of 1gb.
Thanks
Last week I tested my E90 on playing movies, it was able to play movies for 4,5 hours, this was with the screen on full brightness and the phone function activated. So you might be able to play 5 or 5,5 hours when you don't use full brightness and have the phone function turned off.
