First.. about processor, it cannot be change in "older" 9210 cos it's underfilled.
And for changing memory.. it's cheaper if you buy whole new device (changing, parts, IMEI replace, etc.)

JeP,
When you say you are running Opera, are you running the old beta from some time back, or are you saying there is a newer build. If so any haw do I get it
If Nokia would provide Opera to existing 9210 owners with javascript support, I think I would consider that as being quite acceptable.
The reason I suspect that Nokia have not got an all singing all dancing model is that Symbian 6.0 does not support many of the suggested features.
Zuber
It is beta from Opera what comes with 9210i.. see My communicator newsgroup and 9210.talk
It was leaked and they have to take it off in couple hours.
JeP
I will only be interested if I can upgrade my 9210 into 9210i without getting a new set... Since these are two separate products with different hardware... then i have no choice but to stick with my good old 9210... further more, i already have A LOT of registered stuff with my 9210... its really sad to start all over again...
i hope they will never come out with 9310... that will be anothet chapter of dilemma...
Jep, can you mail it to me please (I'm begging/grovelling etc...)

Hmm... how about standing on your hands and clapping your foots while you go out and buy newspaper??
How long we can go in this?
(joke) (damn, my words is not enough to describt)
Well, ok.. i send it... since you asked it so nice
JeP
Am I the only one to notice the following?
9210 4 MB internal + 16 MB extrenal + 8 MB SDRAM (20 MB of storage + 8 MB of app execution)
9210i 16 MB internal + 8 MB SDRAM (16 MB of storage + 8 MB of app execution)
So standard the 9210i comes with 4 MB less of storage and since they got both 8 MB of SDRAM I think all the new apps will be running on both the device smoothly!
But maybe they have changed the hardware like memorycontroller and cpu and thats why it will not be 'application compatible'?
I know Opera 6.0 runs flawlessly on my 9210 and is much better and quicker then the standard browser.
Just my 2 cents...
Alain

No, youre not
I'm sure "they" will sell it like "More memory" or "40Mb total memory" or something like that..
JeP
I think you'll probably find that when it ships there will still be a 16/64MB MMC with the 9210i. I would assume 64MB as 16MB is practically useless, this wil bring the total to 88MB memory it total, hmms perhaps I should fit one with a Flux Capacitor and see what happens.
BTW Jep, cheers for the file.

"I know Opera 6.0 runs flawlessly on my 9210 and is much better and quicker then the standard browser.
"
I got this beta installed to.
Do iI have to remove the standard browser (and what file would this be), or is it possible to leave it on the phone and just run the opara browser?
Ren
I'm thinking of installing this Opera Browser business, but I'm sure I heard a reliable voice on this forum once say that it expired on him.
I take it that its not set to expire on a certain date as much as after so many days' use?
Will a re-install do the business to cancel this out?
Tanker - that would be the Opera browser (new version) that no one is really suppose to have yet. It runs out in June.

I think my 9210 should accidently go missing on my insurance then I can get a 7650 and Bluetooth handsfree kit.... then one day next year I will go back to the 9310 when it is released!
I kind of get the impression that Nokia will release a stand alone PDA to use in conjusntion via Bluetooth to their newer phones like the 6310 etc! That would be a MASSIVE market!
Ren/JeP,
Can you please, please, please send me a copy of the new Opera browser.... I'm begging you!! Thanks Andrea
[email protected][email protected]</a>
Can i also get a copy of that opera???
Please please please!
[email protected][email protected]</a>
Rene,
Please could I have a copy of the opera browser also?
Thank you!

I find it strange that they still used the same old serial port as in 9210. USB is at version 2 and you will need it if you plan to back up your 64MB coomunicator to the PC.
Anonymous, it on it's way.
May I request it also.
It sounds like it is much more stable than the last beta.

If your on Orange then you'll have to wait about six months after the official release date to get one as they are so far behind Cellnet And Voda on offering new phones. Whos laughing now??? As if you do get one it will be out of date anyway!!! LOL
That's right, and when Orange do release the phones, they're usually doctored in some way.
That's why I prefer to try (where possible) to get a Cellnet or Voda unit sim-free.
I'm on Orange.... but my 9210 was from the BT Cellnet pile.
