R1C software on P800 is REALITY

21 replies · 4,425 views · Started 09 February 2003

i have managed to find a P800 with the R1C software at last because there has been a lot of doubts about this in the Howard forum, the flame wars in there were getting WAY out of hand..hopefully this will shut up a few non believers and they know who they are!!!

Hey you kno what....I can still see that the C is still too close to the other units and it seems really obvious that it was it was edited by photo shop....Dude....If you wanna continue on your hoax, go find some stupid forums with stupid people and there oyu might be able to fool someone....and yes....I too am a member of the howardforums and have seen you so called R1C!!!

note: people who read this thread this please do not be fooled by this guy as he had been trying to convince people in this other forum and when they where caught by blowing up the R1C photo that they posted and we all saw that it really was edited they became chickens and stoped with thier posting.

HEhehehehehehehe 😃 😃 😃 😃 😃 😃 😃 😃 😃 😃 😃 😃 😃

Man that is just hilarious!!!! Good one J2....maybe you can make one branded with..YOUR NAME!!!!

No, that quite enough for today, but I think i've got the point across, Screenshot can be changed in a matter of minutes using very uncomplicated paint programs (They were done on MS Paint, which has been around since....forever).

I'm not saying John has done this, but take a photo of the screen rather than a screen shot, that way we can easly tell if this is true of not. 😉 😊

yeah but the problem is that even the photo can be edited and he put up this post on howardforums and got had because someone blowup the image and then we all saw the editings on the picture.....nothing here dude that is why the guy has to find somewhere else to fool people....

WHO'S THE FOOL NOW!!!!! 😃 😃 😃 😃

I just bought my phone a couple of days ago, and it has the R1D firmware on it, so I don't really understand what all the fuss is about since R1F is already being discussed (but I don't know if you should believe those rumours). If you do the service menu trick (jog dial up, *, jog dial down, jog dial down, *. jog dial down, *) under software information (the first option) you can see the date it was installed, in my case: 19-12-02 at 17:41 (it is noted 021219) My PDA software version as well as my CDA are noted as R1F04, so maybe thats what the R1F rumour comes from....

BTW, I am not trying to start any new discussions about this...

As for the "C" being too close to the other characters, thats how it is displayed on the phone. Take a look for yourself on your P800 if you have R1B installed. In the System Information menu, the Organiser version "R1C02" has the "C" close to the other characters as well. So if you are basing his credability (or lack thereof) on the "C" being too close to the other characters, you may need a new basis at this point.

Yeah whavever. Here's another one for you:

ONCE AGAIN, if you are basing John74's credability (or lack thereof) on the "C" being too close to the other characters, you may need a new basis at this point.

There's the proof that the "C" is close to the other characters in the P800's software information menu by default. My point is: If its close to the other characters in the organiser version display, chances are it will be close to the other characters throughout the Software Information menu (i.e phone version). Thats just the way the P800 displays the character; that alone doesn't necessarily mean that the picture posted by John74 was photoshopped. His photos could very well be photoshopped, but I wouldnt make that assumption based on the placement of the letter "C".

Why are we still discussing this phone software???!

Dammit, I don't care, as long as my software works. Ofcouse im going to get mine upgraded when possible, but since the phone Isn't released in Denmark, I have to wait. But I'm looking forward to the day that i can have the danish language loaded into my phone.

Hej Tigerdyr

I upgraded my phone last week, and it now also includes danish, although I dont want to use it, I prefer UK english.

It should be possible to upgrade the phone in your area also, otherwise take a trip to copenhagen 😮)

Point is the R1C exists but who cares since R1d and R1F are out, think about it why skip R1C since there is R1a,R1b etc etc etc.....
NOw that is a real firmware (R1D) not the R1C...
Hey are you trying to increase your posts by posting crap in here
