Afternoon all...
I just had a really geeky thought, but it would probably save you money if you send enough emails/use MSN enough.
When you type, your text is converted from a letter to a two/three digit code that represents it to the PC. These codes are know as ASCII. "a" has the lowest alphabetical code, "Z" the highest. So, if you type solely in capitals, your ASCII codes are going to be higher than if you had used only lower case.
So, if you really, REALLY want to keep your GPRS costs to a minimum... always write in lower case!
You are having a laugh.... aren't you?
Just re-read this post... it looks like I'm actually being serious. PLEASE don't reply to this post and tell me that the amount saved will not be enough to make it worth your while... I'm assuming anyone who understands what ASCII codes are (In fact, anyone who knows what a computer is) will realise that saving a KB over the cource of 10,000 emails isn't actually that good.
😊

😃
Errr, I am not sure if this is a joke or not... 😮ops:
In case you are joking: 😃
In any other case: the PC (and the phone) stores numbers (and ascii codes of course) in binary format, and for Unicode ascii characters it uses 2 bytes (16 bits in all) per character, no matter what number you store inside... So you would not save any space even if you stored.. zeroes!! 😊
I don't know but I think e-mails on 7650 are saved in a unicode font format and not ASCII.

Damn... I wonder how easy it is to withdraw a Nobel Prize application?
