Nokia Newbie Seeks Email Help With 5800

Hi. Using the 5800's email wizard I added my wanadoo email details. I can receive incoming mail but when I send it tries to connect to my email server for ages and then just times out. So I end-up up with a number of emails queued up on my 5800. At first I thought it was just a signal issue, but tried to send an email in local library which had a strong signal and the same thing happened.

Is this a port issue? Do I need to select a particular port for sending email? Or is this a wanadoo problem?

Secondly how do I change emailbox names, I wnat to have a number of yahoo email accounts on my 5800, is it possible to give each a unique name? If so how?

Would really welcome advice. Thanks a lot.

What network are you on and what connection are you using? E.g. on Vodafone, if you use the "Vodafone Live" connection it will fail to find your email server, you need to use the "Internet" connection. Other providers have similar connection configurations.

Hi thanks for your reply. my mobile network is t-mobile. is that a factor? if so how come yahoo/hotmail work fine on my 5800? my email is a wanadoo address, but uses 'orangehome.co.uk' as part of the smtp/pop details
