Yes that is the general policy. However it's not intended to be cast iron. When a Nokia source confirms the device I would generally consider that good enough (even so I thought twice about this) it's not the first time Nokia has accidentally released stuff a few hours ahead of the actual launch time. Especially when we're so close to the actual launch. This can be frustrating sometimes when we know what's coming and then it leaks (and in this case I've left out extra stuff, you'll have to wait [very very soon now] for the full story - there's some cool stuff that's not apparent from the video).
We also occasionally allude to upcoming devices (especially if you read between the line of some or our reviews).
I'm happy to listen to feedback on this however - anyone is welcome to get in touch.

My source:

If you see it as your task to only replicate The Company's press releases, at the moment The Company desires, you may better call yourself Nokia's extended PR department... which is pretty much what this site has always been. And why the readership halved. Take note Steve.
Drawing conclusions from third party sources of traffic information is notoriously unreliable. If you look at Google Trends you'll actually see this same pattern with a lot of tech / mobile site (e.g. my-symbian, phonescoop.com etc.). This sometimes happens when there's a correction for a certain niche (new data sources, improved modeling etc.). However I can tell you that traffic is still growing on AAS (based on server logs), so Google trends has it wrong (surprising when they have access to Google Analytics which runs across portions of this site).
Growth has slowed recently, but you could attribute that to a number of factors (economics, more competitors, fewer devices to market etc.). There's a few trends as well over the last 12 months - more incoming traffic from RSS, and more from Twitter (biggest growth area actually), traffic from mobile devices is also up (and this tends to be ignored by third party stats aggregators).
That said if you feel there are specific areas where we can improve I would appreciate hearing your thoughts (email me at rafe at allaboutsymbian.com or use the contact form). We do think quite carefully about what and how we cover things.
Clearly the style of AAS isn't entirely to your liking, but bear in mind we try to serve a wide audience. There's plenty of rumour sites out there if that's what your interested in. We aim to provide an extra level of insight and provide a reliable, reputable and professional approach. We want AAS stand out for its regularly update unique content - the idea being that we provide you with an informed and ultra-reliable independent view.

I was keen about getting the E55 but I visited the Chicago flagship store about a month ago and was told that there is not going to be a NAM version of the E55. I actually like the hybrid keyboard idea. Now I am thinking E52 NAM or E72 NAM. Love my N82 in fact I used it extensively last night but the lack of North American 3G support is a real drawback for me.
I don't know the answer to this one, but it is possible. However it may be that the E71x is considered the US equivalent.
