😮

Mine has also screwed up, screen keeps fizzing out, restarting and saying phone updated.

Will do hard reset ...

Delveh wrote:At least you guys can download, mines a VF branded handset, the update is there but servers must be too busy! GRRRR!!!

Similar, but slightly different message here. As you say, VF have the update, but my system is suggesting my phone should be directly connected to the PC, which it is, and not via a hub, laptop docking cradle, etc. etc.

So we'll keep trying I guess.

Neil

I'm backing up all my files and photos on pc now then i'm doing a hard reset. Hopefully it'll bring back my wifi.

Hi

I tried to download fimware upgrade, no go on both NSU and OVI. It recognises upgrade but will not download. NSU says it can not connect and OVI says there may be a problem with non commercial software on device 😡 Have tried hard reset and still the same errors. Anyone got an answer?

Thanks

Gary

Did you change the product code by any chance to get the v12 for Euro1 etc? Or do you have something like Seven push mail beta or Mail for exchange running? These are the only things I can think of and I'm in the same boat.

I have the same problem - the standard NSU suggests internet connection failiure - may the servers are mega busy - certainly no option on OTA suggests installing via PC.

Hi

I am still having problems. I am going to wait for a day or so and try again. Just tried again and still no connection :con?

If it's not showing for 0585162 maybe nokia have removed it regarding the Wifi and Connectivity issue????

Edit: Nokia have removed the update, just checked the option ''Can I Update?''

Hi

Do not know if I am doing something wrong but the only option I get with device software installer is to udate via PC - I have searched options to see if I can change - sure I have not missed anything - shoukd I be doing something more than just pressing update button?

Thanks

your product code is different, is yours a 262? is that a Voda branded one?, it's stated that Voda have released it, will check voda forums...

Yes it is a voda code - but ovi beta, nokia NSU and device software updater stated that there was an update available !

Thanks for your efforts

I'd just like to confirm that I also lost all of my connections (packet data and wifi) when I updated. Thankfully, I restored the settings that I'd backed up using File Manager. Connections are now a-ok!

Even though I've put the FOTA update on, there seems to be no NSU as of yet...

If anyone finds the FOTA update available then backup your phone via PC or by the phones File manager (menu/applications/office/file mgr/backup) to save your connectivity and I also read on Nokia Discussions...the Wifi, they will need to be restored after the update.

NOTE: soft reset won't restore you WIFI connectivity if you fail to back up, only hard reset will ...you have been warned.

try typing in the following on the keypad:
*#7370#
it will then ask if you want to restore all original settings? Phone will restart, answer Yes or No...

Good luck.

Hi

It seems the update has gone now from NSU. It tried to update and failed yesterday and now its not there :frown: Ovi suite showing an update but failing to an internal error some c**p about non commercial software. It reminds me of vodafone online billing, one minute its there and then its not.

Has anyone got an answer?

Thanks

Gary

I tried to update many times last night, but I couldn't because I was being told I musn't connect via a hub and should connect directly to my pc.

I was connected directly to my pc?

If Version 2 for UK non operator phones takes this long to come out after other regions get it, I'm not going to be happy :icon13:

Do you think that those of us who have not got 1.2 yet will miss out all together and go straight to version 2? It hardly seems worth having an update now.

given nokias track record id say you will have to wait again

Bum!

(I nearly had it yesterday when it took me about 10 re-starts to just get the image app to open - all I wanted to do was to look at a pic I just took! Nokia, UPDATE ASAP PLEEEEEEESE)

Just now got a text from MyNokia saying there is a software update. Nope, still saying I have the latest and my carrier might not have approved it. 12.0.024

If its taken what, 3 months for UK to get this, it means we wait till January for version 2.
