If its taken what, 3 months for UK to get this, it means we wait till January for version 2.

Got it too, but not available on NSU.

How come you have 12.0.024, I've got 11.0.021? Isn't what you have the second update already?

I too got the text message from Nokia about new firmware, so I connected to NSU and got this message....

No button to re-install.

I changed my product code a while back, then back to what it was.

Hold on. Am I reading these posts correctly?

Has Nokia put up v12 and then taken it back down again? ???

Aye, its not showing on FOTA or NSU/Ovi Suite anymore

BanziBarn wrote:I see, so you're on the latest firmware, but for the wrong product code :icon14:

Sure. But if there was an update I am sure it would ask to reinstall.

I got an email now from Nokia saying the same thing.

I think it's possible they've taken the update down. There are some reports on here of people's connections being removed and wifi access wiped. Is it possible they've removed it to repair these faults?

Hi All

NSU is showing an update again. I tried to download it and guess what it, it wouldn't download, now there's a surprise. Anyone having same problem? And is there an answer?

Thanks

Gary

Hi Steve

Does it have the same problems after update as previous upload - i.e wireless and bluetooth settings issues?

Thanks

Boothy

Banzi, you and i had the same product code i think, but i went ahead and debranded last week .... i got fed up and the thought of this sort of a delay when v2 comes out just wasn't cutting it for me.

I tried to install new software on hunbands phone (vodafone) last night after receiving text from nokia, but was then told that there was no update due to phone operator. Gave up on that idea too, and debranded his today.

all this waiting around is just pants :icon13:

WiFi has been completely fine, no probs at all. Not had a chance to try BT though.

Hmm, I'm wondering if Vodafone have pulled the update yet again...... Not good if they have!:icon13:

Very tempting. I debranded my N95, but that was operator specific....

Maybe I'll do it soon if Nokia don't pull their finger out! 😊

My N97 is unlocked as i bought it from carphone warehouse, i didn't have to do a hard reset after debranding. However, my husbands is locked into vodafone and that one did brick and need a hard reset.

I debranded both with NSS which was amazingly easy 😊

Still nothing for me either - A mod on the voda forum suggested that the updates were being staggered to prevent server overload (I presume on server )I only got my vodafone N97 approx 4 weeks ago - they may be in issue order ?

Hi All

Quick update - after reading comments by Flagpole on voda forum I unistalled NSU and reinstalled via OVI (the current stable version - not the latest buggy beta !) and low and behold firmware updated first time!

Did not have to restore - everything seems as it was before - - have another 6 mb of ram approx - space on C: is not any better (same as before)- I will have to look at to see if update as reloaded stuff I had already deleted\moved- maybe the update got rid of stuff that I already deleted.Blootooth pairing still intact - will check wifi later.

If members are still not getting any joy with NSU its worth reinstalling via ovi - but definately not the beta unless does not work on stable.

``How does one update from OVI? I only know about NSU and over the air options``

On the OVI dashboard - select tools and go to software updater - if not there select update manager and let it find the updater to install - and then install - basically its the same NSU but ran through OVI.

IT may be that it was not working because of conflicts with old files I will probably reinstall NSU sometime .

I think the stable ovi is 1.1 the beta is spmething 1.***7beta - I found the beta very buggy and unstable I have uninstalled since - I do not have much time for the stable version.

V12.026 is officially up again on NSU for 0585162 and probably others, NSU shows V12 can be reinstalled too, should keep you going for a week or 2 until V20 comes.:icon14:
