V20 launch schedule

Was rather hoping v20 would be out today, as some of the specualtion was that it would be this week, and here we are the end of the week!!

Tried NSU and it is indeed downloading a new version as we speak . I was previously on v1.7.x

OK edited the setup msi file, interestingly according to their launch condition it doesn't even support Vista, only 2000 and XP. Shoddy Nokia programming.

v 1.8.10 is the current version.

No N97 update though.

It is "new "Biggzy". The reason I asked was that yesterday I uninstalled all things Nokia, PC and Ovi Suites, from my laptop and ran the Nokia PC cleaner and then re downloaded everything again, fresh, from the Nokia site (including v2 of the Ovi Suite).

Before this my NSU was v1.7. After reloading it late last night, I notice it's now v1.8.

Not going to hold my breath this weekend though. 😊

INTERESTING.

I launched the updater via Ovi version 2 and got the 12.0.026 update from 024 which is mine.

EDIT: Not letting me install it. Oh well. Get an error and the try turning it off and on again gumph.

No Windows 7 support? Are they for real? This just drew the line for me - no more Nokia phones or services for me.

It's really cheesed me off, to be told its coming in the "coming weeks". When will that be exactly? Sometime in 2010 - that is also in the coming weeks.

What utter garbage.

Yet again, the phone today locked up on me today after taking a few phone calls, I've tried all sorts of things with no success.

Let's just say I'm not happy.

Thought for the day...

It occurs to me that the designers of the N97 were very forward thinking in giving the N97 the nice rounded edges that it possesses, as opposed to, say, the squarer and more angular shape of the Sony Ericsson Satio and other phones.

They knew, well in advance of its launch, that there would be problems with the N97 and that a large number of their customers might be dissatisfied with it.

They possibly speculated that should any of those dissatisfied customers happen to meet anyone from Nokia management, then the rounded shape of the N97 would make it a lot easier, and less painful, to remove in a hospitals Accident and Emergency department.

Grapes are fruit... so it counts towards my 5 a day. 😃

Just mellowing out for the weekend and waiting to see if v20 rears its head.

That's five glasses by the way... I'm drinking to forget.

I would just like to let everyone here in the UK know that if they have a SIM FREE N97 they now can get v12 software. YAY!!!!! oh the joys

I'm so so so joyous as to them releasing version 12 to the UK when apparently v20 is so imminent. Pathetic!!
