Changing the Menu Icons?
if you upgrade your fone to 4.37 or 4.39,then the icons will change 😃
Which ones, none changed on mine 3.16 to 4.39 absolutely none.
No.
Don't be so hasty with your answer 😉

Something is being worked on at the moment...

I can't reveal any more information just yet, but work is in progress to achieve this.
So the answer to his question is still......no :P
Bah! 😃

I can't predict the timescale it will be ready....

I think the app will consist of a PC application and a Series 60 .sis file, where the PC app is used to design the icons (or just use any other .bmp) and compile the graphic sis, then the phone sis will install it.

Or another idea is a Series 60 icon designer actually on the phone but I believe that is much harder so it could take longer.

Also, AFAIK to start with there will just be an "Icon Pack" to replace the existing icons with new ones (of course they can be uninstalled). I have a copy of the "new" icons for the original pack, however I will have to find out if it's alright to upload them here first (of course, if you guys want me to.)

Cheers

I assume this is the one being worked on by PsiLoc then? Sounds very promising! The more configurable the 7650 interface the better!

The one I am talking about has no connection to PsiLoc. 😊

If you need some icons you can rip them out of my iconpacks from http://nokia.warlocks.be 😉

Great stuff! Cheers 😊

Extended menu (the psiloc's program which is mentioned here and is under development) will be like wildpalm's wildskinz, i think. But the program that will change the icons will be working as a plug in of pc suite. At least that's how it looks to me. Maybe nokia is working on it and as i said on a previous thread it may release it as a part of a connectivity pack for 7650/3650/n-gage or a unified one for series 60... Time will tell
will it work on old framewares??
like the 3.12 fw :P
The icon pack that I'm talking about should work with all Series 60 devices, not just Nokias, so firmware versions should not be an issue.

Let me know if you want any screenshots of any other menus and I will try to arrange it.

Cheers

HI!...

How you can use that icons?... how you configured that?

Hey dude, if you read the thread you'll see it's an application under development, and there is no public version available yet! 😊

Sooo.. 2 new configuration apps coming out soon... I can't wait! 😊

Also just as a side note, I'm sure it will please many of you to hear that when the application is finished, it will be distributed as freeware.

So nobody has any opinions on the icons? :-?

Favourite icon/least favourite icon anybody?

Request for more screenshots? If so, which?

Ok, if you really want to know... The messaging icon doesn't fit very well into the the design of the other icons, I think. The calender icon shouldn't be labeled with "cal" because in other languages than English this would make no sense perhaps... The icons for images, profiles and speed dial all look a little bit boring.
Now don't you complain about me critisising your icons, you wanted it that way... 😉

Btw I like the camera icon very much 😃 😃

Thanks for your honesty! 😉

Your suggestions will be taken on board for the final release!

Cheers

I hope it won't be too difficult to create our own icons 😊 I've got some ideas for a couple of sets 😊

BTW, will it let us change 3rd party app icons, or just the system ones? 😊
