Well,that's Nokia.There new changes because the 3660 unlike the 6600 is runing on the same platform as the 3650,Symbian 6.1 and Series 60 1.x.On the other hand it might mean that Nokia don't wan't to reveal any more information and they are using the old 3650 manual.

MAYBE I'M JUST BEING PICKY BUT THE FCC DOCUMENTS REFER TO THE 3660 & 3669. THEY ALSO REFER TO NHL-8 & NHL-8X. ARE THESE MISTAKES OR SOMEONE TAKING THE P1SS?
NHL-8 is the old reference for the 3650.
Perhaps there will be 3669 for the American market with different triband frequencies i.e. the two US ones one of ours? Just a guess.
i've already read somewhere that it's to be called the 3620 on the american market but i can't remember where i read it. are the NHL references not device specific? i thought they were different for every type of phone.
I think that now the cat seems to be out of the bag, that Nokia should come clean and officially say what they are bringing out, what numbers they will have and where they will be sold 😃

I never realised that there is a US version of the 3650 the dual band (850/1900 MHz) 3600. You can find the details here. So the 3620 will be the 3660 USA equivalent. I've never actually heard of anyone having the 3600 though?
So i guess that they made this phone, only because people complained about the keypad.

I think it will be the same price as the 3650 when it first came out. Or maybe just a little more expensive. Because of the 65k scrreen.

i'm gonna wait for a Symbian Nokia that has some major improvements over the 3650. 6600 has too little improvements i think. I'm thinking about a screen with 262k screen or more, mp3 stereo player, FM radio, camera with 1,3megapixel or more and lots of phone memory, about 20MB (i hate the 3,4MB we have now). Would be nice if the phone could also play mpg, wmv, rm and mov files 😉
So if you see my list, you know i'll have to wait sometime for a new phone 😃
if nokia do produce the 3660 i think we should all boycott it. i know it will have improvements that will appeal to some people but what better way to show nokia that the should develop phones with these features in the firstplace.

I'd guess its going to be quite a bit cheaper.
I suspect the 6600 will be top of the range and 3660 mid range.

If you buy a 3660 case, and replace your 3650 one.. would it work? may be no because of the diplay of the buttons.. But apart from this, and the 65k colour screen, it's not a new phone. should be called 3650i

NO, it will not work because the keys are on different places.

But maybe Nokia decided to call it 3660 instead for 2 reasons
1st) They new that if they called it a 3650i they would have a lot of very angry customers screaming "Why didn�t Nokia release the 3650 with a normal keypad and 65k screen to begin with. I hate Nokia for doing this"
2nd) By calling it a 3660 Nokia can continue to sell the 3650 alongside of the 3660 and people will still buy it. But if they called it 3650i people would say something like �Why would I buy an outdated model� and Nokia wouldn�t be able to sell anymore 3650s
