For files i know, but what about the sms, mms, contacts and applications i have installed? If i backup the whole phone, flash it and restore the backup will all be the same as before? thanx.

I am an Aussie who bought an unlocked ex-Orange UK branded P900 from the UK and I desperately want to debrand my phone. Unlocking and debranding is illegal in Australia so I can't get any help here....stupid politicians. 😡
Does anyone have the complete firmware necessary or know a link where I can get it?

If a non-branded P900 owner were to update their phone using SE's online update service and sent me the downloaded files from their C:\Program Files\Sony Ericsson\Update Service\software-data folder, could I use those files to debrand my phone using PBB SE v2.2 or similar software?

i have a p900 from the U.K. and it was locked to the Orange network. i got it unlocked and have it activated on Rogers wireless ( a candian service) now i need help learning how to flash the phone to remove all the orange network settings and install the correct settings for north america. that way i hopefully can get the WAP/SMS/MMS settings to work properly. right now all i can do is make calls but i cant send any text messages I only recieve them.
will getting the phone flashed help me...is it the same as getting unlocked????
