i am exchaging it for a viking 256
can anyone confilm this works?
or recomend any other 256 or 512 cards on this particular site?
ATP 256MB MMC, for my QD. Works great!
btw, does anyone know if a SD card work on QD? Seems SD cards are a lot cheaper than the old MMC..

No,it won't work.Search the forums.
Got a 1GB generic MMC that is not stuck in my N-Gage QD, and the N-Gage QD is saying that the MMC is corrupted. Once I get it out I'm exchanging it for another brand of generic MMC, heh. Not all generic MMC's work.
Transcend 256mt MMC. Works perfectly on my n-gage and the price was cheap, 36 from Verkkokauppa.com

OK.. firstly, after formatting, you won't have exactly 128MB, formatting takes up a bit of space. That happens to all cards, so live with it.
Additionally, MP3 files will not appear in the Manager prog. If you send them to the root of E:, e.g E:\blah.mp3 .. they will appear in the music player.

Hey, where did u get tiz 1gb mmc and how much did u pay 4 it? 10x

I got it from Newegg.com and paid $78US. I was going to only get the 512mb version, but for only $30US more, I bit the bullet. I did pay $25 for overnight shipping so I could have it for the weekend, but that was still a good price overall.
I popped in in my original n-gage and it was already formatted and all I did was copy the backup of my old 64mb from my PC. I dumped a bunch of my software progs, pics, mp3s, about 500mb worth, and I have experienced no difference in performance from the old 64mb.
I'm so far quite happy with the card.
😃
Have you been able to access the MMC through the PC by USB cable with your 1 GB MMC? I just popped in a 1 GB in my original N-gage, and the PC will not pick it up as an extra drive like it used to with my 128 MB MMC. Is this a limitation of the Ngage, or the card. The card works fine in a card reader. Thx!
I too just bought a kingmax 1Gb MMC 😃😃😃!!! Ordered it from an english site www.ematbuy.com , cost me GBP 71.68 . This is the cheapest i could find in the UK. Now, I'm just waiting for my MMC reader, I read elsewhere that it is reccomended that you use a reader and not the n-gage (original) itself because the n-gage was only designed to be used with 128mb mmc.
I will also use the mmc reader to reformat my old 128mb mmc that i formatted in windows with NTFS file format. Formatting like this causes your mmc to not be detected by your computer...

did you mean format using card reader can cause that kind of problem? i get confius about this....
what is the alternative or solution if i dont want my pc not detect my mmc?????
Using the card reader will take less than a minute... actually a few seconds.
formatting with the ngage will take about 1/2 hour. haha.
you want to format the card to FAT. I believe that is what the ngage will format it to if you use it.
It sucks a little because I liked just carrying the USB and downloading stuff at work, but now I have to pull the card out and use a card reader anytime I want to write to the MMC. oh well. Maybe someone will write up an update for us 1 Giggers.
I got a 512MB Ridata from eBay, work flawless!
I have fomatted Kingmax 1GB with FAT in WinXP and it works. I have not reached the 680MB max yet as this thing holds a ton! USD $80 from newegg.com - shipped.
your card only holds 680 MB now? something sounds wrong!
Does the firmware version of the N-gage has something to do with the size of the MMC it supports??? I read it in the N-gage official website "www.n-gage.com" that it supports up to 512MB. But in the same page, but for Brazil, "www.n-gage.com/br" it says that it supports up to 128MB.
My firmware version is 3.47. I read here that the latest is 4.10. The problem is that in my country, the nokia service says that my version is already up-to-date. Is V4.10 firmware only for UK or USA??
Thanks in advance.
How big an MMC card can I used with my n-gage QD?
Can I use a 1 Gig?

of course you can....! if you want to buy it, make it two! ...the other one is for me 😃
i was been offer 2 twinmos mmc cards for a fair price, anyone has test it
in N-gage ?
If the USB Port dont work as repported on 1G MMC, i rather chose the 512 mb,
but i need to know if it work at all
Apreciate any clue about, you guys
Transcend 256mb www.verkkokauppa.com
WORKS JUST FINE!!
I have the Kingmax 1GB, works great in my N-GAGE QD. I have only sent 200mb or so to it, so If I have any problems as I add more files Ill have to repost.
Only problem I'm having is I can't read/write to is using my card reader. I have a Dazzle SD/MMC reader/writer that supports USB 2.0. When I put in the card and try to access it I get a I/O error.
It works find in my QD just sending files thru bluetooth, but it would be a pain to send multiple large files this way.
